This Diablo 3 patch 2.7.1 season 24 witch doctor build using the Zunimassa and Carnevil set is one of the most powerful builds of the season and one of the top Witch Doctor builds. This guide applies to non-season as well. Season 24 start date: July 23. Gameplay shown in video.

I tested this on PTR, Don't play this if you don't like squishy builds, WD deserves some love next season for various reasons set out by Top CZcamsrs.
Mostly a covid noob (I did play the game on ps3 but years ago, recently got the whole shebang on ps4 on sale!) Your videos are mint! I wonder if maybe an episode on getting the reccommended loot (in general, tips on how to get loot regardless of class) could be a good time?
Nice to see yet another build starts to shine more and more. But i'll stick to the Jade Set. I just love the playstyle. Dot everything, pile em up, BOOM! So satisfying. And yes i know it can't compete with most of the other builds, i don't care. :)
They are played essentially the same, you pull everything together and blow it all up. Best 2 WD builds imo(most fun)
I love the Jade set too. Something about seeing all those souls harvested at the same time is very satisfying.

Generally you run into middle of packs with Spirit Walk, pop SH then do a 180 & run out. Completely safe ;).
It can be for certain, especially on zuni, since you also need time to spawn your 15 extra fetishes for damage reduction and have to abbandon rifts halfway because of unlucky loss of fetishes or SH that you can't regain without dying. As WD and HC player you really never get to relax. :) But getting close is also a part of the WD playstyle, SH should just work differently since it offers nothing else that watching a timer. If it only lasted longer so you could focus more on mechanics that are meaningful, It is still dull but atleast it would not take focus. If they really wanted to change it. 1) make it proc stacking from damage or other factors 2) divide the components, int armor bracers weapon, so many things are tied up on that spell.

Use the zunima legs and use gazing demise offhand and spirit barrage manitou rune instead of pirana, your welcome
I finally tried this out today after collecting everything. It'll take some getting used to though because I'm not used to being so squishy after running a spider wd and it's endless spirit walk basically.
@Rhykker, do you think its possible to use Aquila Cuirass over Depth diggers for toughness since you said it was squish? Does losing that 100% dmg increase drop the build a tier?
This is hilarious. The DoD build was what I went with as my starter HC character in season 23, and I only used it to get me going. It ran out of steam rather quickly compared to the other builds, but now it seems like it's going to be one of the *best. Relying on ethereals though won't make the top builds always the top, so there needs to be a tier list for the overall averages of with and without them.

Thank you for the build. I find using locus instead of Piranhas more convenient because there no cooldown.
I agree...why would you use Piranhas when it only selects a small amount of mobs? Locust will spread to every mob on the screen. Not one guide for this build seems to notice this.
@@daryllakes5869 I think they prefer Piranhas for the grouping. It allows most of the darts to hit the enemies trapped in the Aoe.

Very nice video. Thank you for the guide. I always played Mudunugu build and this season I decided to go for Zunimassa. I'm still farming items and I did something custom which I want to ask if we can consider later also. I have Zunimassa full set already and 2 pieces of Jade harvester and while I'm spamming Haunt is very effective. The dart is very good, but we need mana spender for the big damage. Is it not better to have Haunt for example on the place of big bad voodoo or horrify ?
i was wondering the exact same thing with haunt
@@GRA2048 I just switched pierce the veil with the confidence ritual in order to avoid mana issue on higher GR and it's working 10 times better for me. Plus avoiding the risk to running around and group them. I don't know, maybe I'm missing something. But it was a huge pain for me only with the piranado.

Armor is better for intelligence based characters who already have a lot of all resistance

@Rhykker why does it feel so much better using locust swarm w pestilence rune (for speeding GR90s) to spread my zunimassa damage buff over pirañas
Wait, if the damage from the build comes from the Fetishes why use depth diggers? Isn't there a better pair of pants or just put in zunimassa and swap rorg?
Still need rorg for aughild's. But yea, i'm also curious about the depth diggers..
Because the fetishes are casting Poison Darts they get the benefit from Depth Diggers and all other +% to Poison Darts

i tried this build on ptr and u are so squishy u need to be aware of mobs and your positioning non stop nice build but not worth the headache their is easier builds but i would not say its deffo not the best strongest build in the game s24..i was able solo gr 141 sader bombardment anakan with 1988 paragon and 35 gems no augs
Why gem and pants for increase primary damage? 🤔 when u don’t rely on primary skill damage

That's how I feel about the simplicity gem. Better off just using molten gem and put life on hit on the weapon. GGs, squirts saved.

@@maurice4212 the darts shot by the fetishes are primary skills also, so simplicity and depth diggers both apply.

I don’t understand how you can have haunt and spirit walk at the same time?? Can someone explain? They also show in the build having the piranha ability on the right mouse, is there a reason? Sorry for the noob questions!
In skills you can apply different skills to different keys as well as being able to scroll along the skills to choose the appropriate skills.
It's called elective mode in the options, enable that then you can choose which skills go where.

could be a definite possibility yeah not sure if it would outdamage something like stricken for rgk though
Like Doc said, RGK would be difficult with out stricken. Zei could be great in a group comp where zuni carn is trash killer.

You still have spirit barrage, I believe that received a nerf, but it is still powerful.

Why Strength Gems in Armor?
More toughness. Strength gives armor. You can put topaz for more damage if you want
Why wouldn't you take ring of emptiness and use locus swarm as your mama spender and you get the ring of emptiness buff as well
Pets don't benefit from the dmg bonus of RoE.

Pets attack when you do with this build. Tasker and Theo makes pets attack faster. But pets only attack when you do

Just about can guarantee it wasn't. Very squishy build. And he was tearing them down far too quickly to be a 150 for solo. Even multiplayer doesn't take them down that fast.

fun fact the guy who was lvl 100 gems on his FOLLOWERS has no life whatsoever. i dont even got a 100 socket on me. not ONE. This guy had 100+ on each of his own, and his followers AND to top it all off, he had burnt thru some 100+ gems to upgrade his ancients as well! Sheesh.
