    I remember reading this as a kid I was 12 and it was the early 90’s and up until this comic my comic reading had been your basic hero story lines but this one just blew my mind when I got to the end I just couldn’t believe it 😢 it was the most realistic story in comics I had read , it’s one of the comics that changed my views on life and innocence and evil. Had the original collection of the 5 comics from when I was a kid but they were destroyed in a storage unit flood so thank you bro so very much for doing this I haven’t read this story in 30 something years

      I hadn't either, and very much same story minus flood and add thieving friends. I had to tell this story, it changed everything for me when i was a kid. Me Ma would tan me hide if she knew I had those back in the day. 🤣🤣🤣
      I'm glad you enjoyed it.

    I miss when Spider-Man and just Marvel comics were like this

    I had these when they came out. They were really dark, but I was riveted.

      Same. Was one of my first reads of McFarlane. Was def sold even of I had to hide them from my mother. 🤣🤣🤣

    This is brilliant, I really miss reading comics like these. The artwork was amazing back them and they would tackle “small” issues like hunting down pedophiles as opposed to some universe ending threat every two weeks.
    Even after all this time I still can’t believe they did a story like this, gives to show they had more guts back in the day. Nowadays we’re forced to call them MAPs

      Thank you good sir. Amd smae, this was one of the first comic series I read when i was young. Really stuck w me. And Todd McFarlane is a god imo. His writing and artwork was so unique. His Spider-man run was and is my go to for Spidey stories.
      And agreed, they just told bad ass stories w out worrying about who'll get offended and cancel it.

    Savage means to catch a savage monster 👹👮🏼‍♂️
    What a great Wendigo story, further mixing myth into comics and even a noir vibe type of investigation with journalist, corrupt cops, serial predator and a forest creature. Hella epic story lol in the end, poor Peter's moral dilema on the means for justice 🤣 💀

    • @adeadguy
      @adeadguy  Před rokem +1

      I loved this story. It stuck with me since I was a kid reading this, and wanted to bring to ppl the way I saw it.
      McFarlane's Spider-man run was by far my favorite, he made the villains the way we know them today.

      @@adeadguy why do we love Spider-Man when clearly Wolverine/Ghost Rider have the more effective methods?
      Like I couldn’t stand how Spider-Man couldn’t stop calypso and spared Hobgoblin and then the story shows Wolverine and Ghost Rider do so much of a better job wiping out the worst

    • @adeadguy
      @adeadguy  Před 11 měsíci

      @@Seasonal-Shadow_4674 some peeps have that "moral code" for our heroes. Saying "heroes don't kill"...tell that to the US Military.
      Good point. I guess different strokes for different folks, and creates great dynamics for story telling.
