Just an adjustment to your instructions. The group gasket bevel should always be facing up and the flat surface is the portafilter side. Thanks for the video!
I just had contact to rancillio tech services in Italy, and they stated clearly, that the bevel should face down towards the portafilter. It is, that when you close the portafilter, the rubber can "move" just a little, can expand as you thighten the portafilter in.
Do you still have this machine? I just scored the exact same machine for free from a friend with a small cafe. She used it for two years and bought a two grouphead machine to replace it because she got so busy. The single group head Epoca that she gave me has been in storage for 3 years so I want to remove the boiler and open it up to check how clean it is. I'm using the parts manual to see what gaskets and new o-rings I need to hunt down to put it back together afterwards. As a bonus the Epoca she gave me came with two portafilters, one single spout and one double spout. This means I won't have to swap over filter baskets for how many cups I want to brew.
Jorge Luis Fuentes he’s not a technician just a home owner changing his gasket in the hardest way. The better question is what exactly is your leak. If by behind you really mean back leg area can be a number of things such as your pump or a fitting that has gone bad. If it’s the front do you have a drain if so it can be clogged if not then a pipe or fitting towards front is leaking.
You saved me a lot trouble and money... your are welcome to my small coffee shop in Slovakia :-) :-)
Using a screw to remove gasket is brilliant - simple, safe and effective. Super
best advice. drill approach only way to go to change my gasket.
Excellent tips. Had a rock hard gasket in my sylvia. This worked perfectly, especially the portafilter to settle the gasket in place.
Very clear and easy to follow directions - thank you for this video.
brilliant. Use screw to pull out. Mine, the rubber is like 🧱. Thanks, Sir.
Excellent video and clear descriptions! Thank you

How do you change your gaskets? Do you have an easier way?
