- Myanmar’s newly democratic government has banned the export of raw timber, to help fight deforestation. But that has idled thousands of the elephants that toil in the logging industry.

Protect the Elephants and Forests 🙏🙏
the 10 year ban on logging has indeed put many elephants "out-of-work". And these 2000+ huge "out-of-work-workers" have a huge appetite. They cannot be set free into tnow has he jungles becos, the jungles are becoming smaller and neighbouring China developed a palate for elephant meat/elephant trunk, so these gentle/doemsticated " workers" would become easy targets for hunters. How do you care for out-of-work -workers with huge appetites. the solution is to open up their camps, where they lived/worked to local and international tourists. It is an amazing experience to go to these elephant camps where you can come into close contact/feed/pet these gentle giants. Help our huge workers by visiting them!!
thank for ur comment
I heard that most of you myanmar poeple are Buddhists. The Buddha said you should never harass animals. But why are so many people abusing elephants?if they true love elephants.
@@tiptop7327 Abusing elephants to tame them and making them obey human commands is abuse in itself.
Even if it is a tradition to tame elephants, it is abuse.
I will adopt the elephant.
Good please provide a vehicle for sustainable life please you fool

02:10 I thought he was cutting that elephant
its a ko pete's voice ?
Take a lesson from Chang Mai in Thailand. There are a lot of tourists interested in seeing Elephants living in a managed area but living as elephants, not begging or logging. I don't doubt the owners will find employment for their animals.
Would need a stable country first. Myanmar is still hot on civil war and much of the land are mined. It’s really complicated.

Ten years is too short to rehabiliate a forest. But the elephants always needed help.
If you really love elephants, send all elephants back to natur.
Sending them back to nature will become human -elephant conflicts worse. They are not wild ones so they cannot live in wild environment. Then they will live near villages and would destroy crops. It is not a solution.
@@aungmyatpaing3511they should never have been taken from the wild in the first place but some people just can’t leave them alone in nature and create their own problems.
if they do the math instead of meth, its more cheaper to own a logging trucks than an elephants..at least logging truck work much faster
🎋🪵🚛 can't get into the same areas 🐘 can. That's why. And cause 🐘 do far less damage to the surrounding areas. You don't have to build roads for 🐘 either.
@@kurtlovef150 well tell that to the rest of the world. India the only country using elephant to work.
house destroyed, physically tortured

sorry m Dixon,..your just wrong. unless you are a vegetarian,.eg: you don't eat 'enslaved cows'. ive spent 2 months in Myanmar,..and many more in countries that use elephants, and beasts of burden such as water buffalo to pull plows, and burro's to carry supplies over mountains. humans would not have evolved the way we have without them . treat them well,..show them love and respect. that is the responsibility of all 'human animals'.
What's your point sir...
Shock horror. When you cut down treea tgere wont be many trees kedt
Protect save nuture .do not illtreat and abuse they are meant to roam free.
Welcome to kaw htoo lie
These are the Karen people
We know we history knu blood 🩸
Elephants should be free to roam in the forest. Not be working for man.
Lucky we dont have stupid ppl like you here.
In an ideal world. But there’a a lot of issue of with doing that, most westerners do not really think about.
🇲🇲 Elephant
Huduh orang siam lau ni buat hamba gajah .pakai letik gajah tak suka mespat rehat tu pasa dah suruh tarik sebat ramai yg mampus bedal kat gajah tu .

sorry for type, I meant to type they cannot be set free into the jungle
Is not Myanmar is in Kawthoolie
Myanmar don't have elephant
Myanmar has a lot of elephants. Why do you say so? Kawthoolie is in Kayin state, Myanmar.
Karen don’t have state have county kaw htoo lie
Excuse my ignorance, but couldn't the elephants be repurposed? I'm sure hauling goods (which is basically what they are doing now) could be applied to industries other than logging.
+Jesus that's probably the reasoning behind the elephant's owners eagerness to keep taking care for elephants and mahouts too
That would be abuse. What they were doing there was abusing them already, it's quite immoral even if the guys says he loves him.
the elephants can go to a zoo.
+leepakim unless america and europe gonna pay for "jurassic park"-size facilities the poor country like Myanmar won't be able to do anything other than kill most of the elephants
Myanmar is not a poor country all the building in the city's are gold plated and every one were diamond or gold or even emarals I know this because I am Burmese and I'm have to be one
