  • Hi everyone! I hope you are all doing as well as can be during these tough times. I wanted to get this video out there since you guys voted for it in my survey of which video to post next. My friends and I had a fun time filming this, it is super casual and very subjective so definitely take everything said with a grain of salt!! Each person is different, but it is a lot of fun to hear different perspectives :)

    If y'all aren't from Georgia, make friends with Georgians and it will likely improve the range of options for "spontaneous" adventures to clubs or social events on more boring nights, because people from GSU, Georgia Tech, and the AUC have a lot more access and Georgians are more likely to know those people and can pull you into that as an alternative to the typical Emory scene. It's just really fun.

    Love seeing familiar faces lol! The major comment is true LMAO stem majors at Emory are hard because of the stress people evoke rather than the material or people being cutthroat. Not taking chem this semester despite having other STEM classes in my courseload was such a blessing in disguise!

    I am about to graduate from a college that is very much not Emory and will never be attending Emory BUT this video was still so interesting. My BF goes to Emory and quite a few of our friends so I've visited quite a few times but I love hearing different opinions of others who go there. It's so nice for incoming freshman to have honest info available to them :)) great vid!!

    I'm a high school senior who recently committed to Emory. I was planning on doubling in Business and Comp Sci, but after this video, I'm super nervous. I had no idea that the business school was graded on a curve. Lowkey, one of the reasons I chose Emory was because I heard professors encourage kids to collaborate and work together.

      @KatieLeeLife  Před 4 lety +2

      Don't worry!! The B school curve is not bad at all, it seems intimidating but it actually only helps you. If you already average an A in the class without the help of a curve you are still guaranteed an A, the curve basically helps you if you are scoring lower than that

      @fawkes9718 Před 2 lety

      @@alia.5638 Relative the the business curve, completely fine! Barely any teachers even actually use it. As for the double major, I ended up dropping CS after my first year, but I have found other concentrations that I'm interested in.

    I've heard that after rush takes place in the spring the freshman that don't rush, or rush and maybe don't make it into a sorority/frat get kind of cut off from everyone who does join greek life in terms of like social events on the weekends for that semester... is this true at all/do you have experiences related to this?
