- The GCR Autumn Steam Gala 2023 would have a bit of a GWR theme this year with new build ‘Saint’ 2999 Lady of Legend from GWS Didcot joining pannier tank 7714 from the SVR and recently overhauled 6990 Witherslack Hall masquerading as lost classmate 6988 Swithland Hall. Other home fleet locos operating in the form of Standard 5mt 73156, standard 2mt’s 78018 and 78019, Stanier 8F 48305 and Standard 9F 92214. Also running was D6700 and a Diesel railway but these aren’t featured for obvious reasons.
Filming took place around the Loughborough area, Woodthorpe, Quorn & Woodhouse and Kinchley Lane.

Luke, Nicely captured throughout. Regards, John
Thanks John. Was good to see you both again
Great video :)
There’s been an announcement saying that fenchurch the yellow terrier is coming over next year to the Severn valley railway
And I think the 8f 48305 which is this loco at 19:00 shall definitely come over here next as the second engine to visit the Severn valley railway and the first time for an 8f to visit
I did see that announcement a few weeks ago. It would be nice to see an 8F on the svr again
@@blackcountrysteamvideos8021yes especially when one of them will be visiting here at the Severn valley railway Luke
They all millions of young teenagers likes to choose after a bit of lying sometimes in the whole world from School days because everyone’s didn’t have autism, special needs and learning difficulty
Fantastic stuff mate!
Was as always a pleasure to spend the day with you having a catch up.
2999 was the highlight for me I think
Liam
Cheers mate. Having the saint on the GCR might be the closest we get to seeing it on a mainline
Great set of videos as usual. Great Central is one of those railways which i really have to visit at some point.
Cheers Luke. Put it on your priority list. You shall not be disappointed. It’s a fantastic railway
I didn't know you could get back to Cedars Hotel again, I thought it was closed off.
I asked the security. He asked how long I’d be there and said I could go round
