Alisha was WONDERFUL as Matilda. I basically sobbed from beginning to end.
What about the 1996 film Matilda. It wasn't bad either.. Have you already seen the movie in the cinema??
@@frantisekkoudelkahater9494 they both tell the story differently which is perfect, the movie is based on the stage adaption of matilda the musical. the musical doesnt take away from the og movie at all and i think its absolutely brilliant
@@frantisekkoudelkahater9494 watching tomorrow!
Did you watch the movie on cinema?
@@startsmart1995 yep
I’m not gonna lie, Alisha deserves an Oscar nomination for Best Actress for playing Matilda!
UPDATE: She didn’t get nominated.
My name
Well she was pretty spectacular and the movie was absolutely awesome but don’t forget the person who played her in 1996
@@ariaisdabomb4660 ah yes, Mara Wilson!
@@ariaisdabomb4660
Yes Alisha done a fantastic job, as I first seen her on RTE TOY Show🎅
Did Mara give it all up now, as i was watching the original airing of Miracle of 34th St (1947) which is rarely on tv & was on Film4!
As it had another Irish person that I knew had in Maureen o Hara, but was pleasantly surprised when I found out that the little child was actually Natalie Wood🤫
I watched it at cinema
Alisha is so captivating to watch. She draws you in, which makes her a phenomenal actress/singer, can see her doing amazing things in the future
0:04 Alishas HELLO is so cute!!
😊 Alisha Weir is SUCH an absolute sweet, talented, humble, kind girl…how wonderful to have an amazing girl as her as our wonderful Matilda! 😊
She acted so good in the film
The musical movie was like I was watching an animated version of Roald Dahl’s classic movie. The character design of the parents, Miss Trunchbull, Matilda and Miss Honey was like something of a Disney movie. Absolutely brilliant. Brilliant movie.
Prolly one of the best things I've seen all year.
Matilda back where it always should have being set... Britain
I really like the fact that she listens. Every costar she has a interview with, she absorbs their experience and wisdom.
As a fellow dubliner I am so proud of her the movie is amazing and as matilda Alisha is just amazing .
I’m so happy she got the part I went to go see this movie today and it’s actually really good, Definitely way better than I thought it was going to be!
Same here
I WATCHED THIS MOVIE TONIGHT IT WAS AMAZING SHE DID SO GOOD I found Matilda’s parents so funny
I've seen the film twice now, both times with my nine year old grandson and we both think that it is the most wonderful film in every way ! It was as if the very best actors in the world were brought together to perform under the supervision of the best Director in the world using the best script in the world whilst performing the best songs and choreography in the world ! It was simply perfect and I can't wait to see it again ! Alisha, along with ALL the cast members, was fantastically fabulous !
Aww bless her she is so sweet I’m so glad she got the role she was AMAZING!
Today I saw the matilda the musical and I LOVED IT Alisha was AMAZING I LOVED HER!!!!!! Congrats Alisha!!:]
She was so great I was crying in the movie cos she said I'm dangerous the movie was so great
Alisha is the best actress ever
My family have just watched it this young lady was absolutely amazing and she nailed it . What a performance 🎭 to her and all the other children them kids can certainly Dance and sing. Absolutely 👍 we’ll done to you all it’s a brilliant 🎥 film you should All be very proud. I’m still smiling 🙂 I’m 56 years old I never cry but you have to watch the clip when she gets the call getting the role . It broke me big time seeing her and the family was just amazing 🤩 so again we’ll done ✔️ 🎉🎉🎉
I watched Matilda in the Cinemas, and It was amazing to see, there were barely any people, but still the movie was absolutely amazing.
I especially loved all the songs.
She is so cute
Alisha is great in Matilda - but she's a total joy as well just in interviews. Surreal - I was so dumb when I was her age I'd have made an ass of myself. Another item I've noticed - she diverts questions about her own role to saying how great everyone else was.
I'm going to watch Matilda on Monday with my friend for my birthday
If it is on Broadway it will be shit!
I didn’t know for a couple days after watch the film that she was Irish (I am too) and it was amazing how well she manages to mask her accent. Cause an Irish accent, in my opinion, is quite distinct
Yeah but most Irish and British people can do each other’s accents
Watched this as soon as it came out! I’ve seen the musical and cinema movie. You have done such a good job I loved it ❤
Alisha is an amazing Actress
Awww she is so adorable
I ❤ this Matilda version very much. It was really touching and the best : an Irish actress had the main role 😊🍀 (Ireland - Fan). Alisha is adorable ❤
This is the moment when I cry I have a crush
The movie is amazing, brilliant! Alisha is talented, lovely, captivating! The whole cast is great!
Omg I love her accent
She’s Irish

The scene where ms wormwood said " HARRY YOU IDIO'T"
Alisha is so adorable. It's true what they say. Talent comes in all shapes and sizes. And ages! 😄
I watched this film a couple of weeks ago. And while there are a few things that I felt could have been more like the book, I loved it. At least it's in the right country. Unlike the 1996 adaption where the characters are American rather than British.
Yor telling me she is adorable
I think I'm obout to pass out
@@loganallen4838 I didn't say she was that kind of adorable. People can be so narrow minded these days.
Matilda I love you

I met Alisha today I was at a composition and her dance school was there and me and my friends got a picture with her my head was half in it lol
she’s very well media trained lmao

@@feebeefee93xx38 i think just because she's so well-spoken and intelligent for her age when answering the questions lol
She is just very intelligent and has acted a bit before. I know many well-spoken 13 year olds (I'm a teacher).

For someone who Gonna see it the only way for it to match the 96 film Is that the final battle scene is Good
yep. With singing and dancing at the end. Genius.

Andrea looks so different in the movie
The father sounds like Joel (smallishbeans)

Weird comment by Andrea Riseborough... Andre is 5'4 and Emma Thompson is 5'8 lol. How on earth is Emma 'petite'? Someone is projecting.

Wait she is 13
How old is she?
💋💋😍😍❤️🔥😍
How old is Alisha
I miss the original now after watching the clip of the new film. Nothing can and will beat the original film. The original will always have a special place in my heart..😢❤
This one is based on the musical from broadway and westend
The ‘original’ film is Americanised and inaccurate, Matilda is based on the book, which is British.
It's not a remake so why you say "the original"? They're two different movies.
Lol have you even watched THIS version though?
Samirah.R The "original" was spoilt by that troll playing Matilda tbh. This one is more authentic with no yank accents.
She has my name but spelled different
I loved the film its better then the other matilda I feel like
We are revolting sometimes u have to be a little bit naughty
Alisha said no to Miss Trunchbull cuz she grabbed Bruce
Hi
Did she actually do a handstand on a real roof and by the way I go musical theatre
How did Alisha move the cola bottle whith her mind
well she obviously didn't lol. Special effects.
I want to meet you 😢❤
How old are you?
Alisha is 13
Oh wow she looks younger!
😢 😭 😿 😢 😭 😿 😢 😭 😿 😢 😭 😿 😢 😭 😿 😢 😭 😿 😢 😭 😿 😢
The young lady is really beautiful and really fit ❤️ x
Please tell me your not on about Alisha
What?
Um what...
No bc were is miss honey
I personally was not a fan of the "Musical" part of the movie and I didn't really like all the singing but the rest was excellent.
I'm Laura's kid
howe did you mace stuff move with your mined pliers tell my
WHAT?? thick as two short planks!
@Fudge Brownie Hot Chocolate The person is not a tiny child! it is a person old enough to watch a video and post, i could spell better than "howe did you mace stuff move with you mined pliers tell my" when i was 5 or 6 .... I didn't get it until i looked again just now so i asked WHAT and my comment about that thickness and ignorance is my opinion so butt out!
Tim Burton should of directed this film
Just look at Andrea Riseborough on the video there, she looks kinda like Eva Green since the latter appeared mainly in Burton's movies - Riseborough and Green could make a great cooperation but Riseborough looks like a Finnish lady with British beauty standards and as well as an accent. (Given Riseborough's experience in indie films/movies means she could be in a Finland production that could be accepted to Sundance, Tribeca, Toronto, Venice, Cannes, Katlovy Vary, etc plus Finnish women are gorgeous though.)
