This is a great video. The promise of CZcams. Thank you. Wonderful to see a real person building something wonderful. And not only that but letting us watch as you work your way through the process. A document of creativity in the making. I love the musical interludes that make us remember that this pursuit is for a higher purpose: to make a musical instrument that gives us the ability to speak to God. (An Ancient Greek concept. Who is going to argue with them) Cheers. ...by the way, your English is just fine!
Thank you very much!
Congrats on the build! And mad respect for taking the time to document the whole process!
I'm sure it will help lots of people.
Have an awesome day and keep enjoying that lovely instrument :)
Thank you so much. Means a lot. Currently doing the same for the diy matching sequencer from antonus😎. Will take a few months tho haha with all the editing included
Take your time! I’m sure people will receive it as good as these first two.
I was about to get a 2600m and your series made me think about going this route.
I’ve built a few 500 series preamps and other monome related instruments. The biggest hurdle for a noob like me was to set things in order, be organized and create some kind of method.
This type of material helps a lot, even if you are not building the same instrument but from the point of view of covering electronics basics, DIY, calibration, etc.
All the best while building the sequencer! I hope Antonus offered you some kind of discount or deal. I understand it may not have been the principal goal but you are surely directing some traffic and potential costumers (like me) to them 🍻
I try to help and work together with them😎. But i do this because i love to build stuff like this and make video’s. Hope to do more like this in the future IF my bank account allows it😅
Thank you for the eye candy of DIY builder
Wow it sounds so badass. Love the demo, wish there were more demos of the antonus.
Maybe i’ll make a demo in the near future. No talking just a multitrack made on his beast.
Awesome video ! Brought me back to when I was calibrating my TTSH, there is something very satisfying about getting it fully calibrated and ready to play... 🤤
The whole build process was satisfying to me from start to end haha
What a great project! Congrats on your build. 👏🏻
Master!🙌
nice.... klinkt lekker..
Zoooo trots op je❤
Great videos on this 2600 build. I have the (now discontinued) original Antonus 2600 80% scale. Been considering this project. How are the speakers relative to the 80% scale? They look robust. I ever use my Antonus internal speakers because they are ....thin. Yours look like they can handle a bit more freq range. One thing I might do in this build is replace the thin foam that is slit for each fader, with black felt. I have the same foam you have here, 34:19 on my 80% scale and StepBrother, and I don't like the feel as the faders move.
Don't know how the speakers compare to the 80% scale bur my guess is that they will sound different due tot the volume og the case itself. The speakers are nice and i do use them when i'm dawless but this synth has a very deep bottom end (a very big bottom haha) so yeah the speakers do not reflect that. I don't feel the foam it's very soft so no problem there.
where did you get the caps for the sliders? They look dantastic
You can ordert hose from Antonus
Can you tell us where did you buy that kit please ? thanks 👍
