- Today for #DIYFriday I’ve decided to do my first multiple DIY‘s in one video! 🥳 Sooo we are making 7 jewelry displays all from dollar tree tumbling block! Grab some blocks and lets get to crafting!
Supplies:
* Tumbling tower blocks
* Wood glue
* Wood stain (used here is Minwax Early American #230)
* String
* Push pins
* Super glue
* Handsaw

I made the second one with 3 as the stand and used that block on top. I also made it with two rows of 3 as the base and 2 as the stand, two up and two across to make a nice square stand. I then added mini hook from a picture framing kit so that it can fit two earring cards.

I never would of thought of these 😮so cool! Dang and it’s probably super affordable but totally looks hi end…I bet I could make theses cheap! Sometimes I make a super long pair of earrings it would be cool to have a display just for those kind of earrings really impressive video. Thank you for sharing

This is so great for selling handmade crafts at fairs, which will be starting up again this year. For the 4th on you can also glue a mirror onto the back for increased functionality. Unicorn Dust Designs sent me. You have a new subscriber now!

These are really chic! I'm too chaotic to pull off that kind of decor in my own home but I wish it were an aesthetic I could have - it's so clean and classy. The only thing I was thinking might improve it is if you stain the blocks first, before assembling anything. Various glues really change the way stain looks even if you wipe it off immediately. It's not a big deal and I didn't see any parts on your projects that made me gasp, but I've noticed that I get better results doing it that way. I found you through another CZcamsr's shout out - can't remember who, of course! - but I'm glad I found your channel! This is excellent content!

Very sweet, where do you get your blocks ? I assume you are not cutting them yourself?

The earring holders, would wind make the earrings blow away?
Some of them are heavy enough that it should be ok. I would definitely do a test run.
Are these the same size as regular janga blocks?
They are smaller.
A metal hacksaw to cut a bunch of wooden blocks that you immediately glue back together? As a woodworker and a jeweler of half a century's experience I find this unfathomable.
Are these pre-cut blocks from the $ store?
Yes they are pre cut from the dollar store. You can normally find them in the toys and arts and crafts section or buy them online.
You make it look like those push pins went in easy ... I broke the top off trying to push in the pins. Thumbs bruised and all 😑😡
