I actually winced when you said I’ll just fill her up I’m that confident 🤣
Hi Crawford. My ninety did something similar. Went for maybe fifty miles and then other time only three miles. Turned out to be a loose fitting on the fuel system letting air in. P.S. Bring back cousin Crawford. He’s the funny one.
I thought you were talking about gate lady at first when you said if you prime her enough she does turn over.
check the fuel tank breather to make sure it is not blocked
Even Land Rover gave up and stopped making them 😂
Hi Crawford, admit it you love it😂😂😂 no pain no gain. There’s bound to be a Landrover Guru near you.
Another fun video. Sorry the defender is not cooperating. That little adopted calf 116 is one of the cutest things. 😊👍👍
1:25 I'm glad you f'ed the focus, that image gave me a chuckle.
Buy a Landrover become a mechanic 😂 the old saying certainly stands true for you!
Had a similar problem with a van. It was the breather vent in the tank blocking and then it creates a vacuum as no air is getting in and starves the engine.
To see if it the same with your landrover try running it with the fuel cap off
Good luck
Yeh i did try this, but no change
Love the 2am upload!! Lots of love from AZ!!
Our xpress scraper’s are a right pain if you hit a stone they bend. I’m thinking of getting rid of it. But don’t know what for. Good luck with the defender! You’ll need it.
Cracking video as always
If that was gelling on the bottom of the tank might want to treat the tank for the diesel bug just in case
Great video Crawford the amount of time and money you’ve spent on that defender 🤦♂️😂😂😂
For the land rover, check all the fittings to the injectors, we had a problem just the same as you and it was just a 5 minute fix
Check injector seal and wiring loom under rocker cover. Had a td5 with same fault
You have more patience than me with the defender 🤣
Put atf transmission fluid into diesel it will clean an lubricant the injectors, but u also have an air leak
I had a similar problem once with a Hilman Avenger (a little while ago). It was shite in the fuel lines themselves. Get your air line up the pipes. Good luck.
Maybe when you replace the injectors check there isn't a blockage in the hoses / in a fitting.
I would try some diesel treatment and change the main fuel filter if this does not work check the tank breather . I had a similar situation with my td5 and in the end it was a ecu fault 😢
Have you looked at a new filter housing? I’ve even had a fuel pressure regulator causing one of our td5s to cut out?
It is probably a relay that is getting hot and cutting out, check your fuse box for a relay for the pump.
Head into Perth with the land rover and deposit it a the scrappy at the docks.
If your Defender has an OBD port, which I think it should have, borrow or beg a good scanner and check the codes. If this does not throw up an answer then blow the fuel line, both feed and the return and if you are able pressure test the lines. Good luck!
I see a straw blower in the not tooooooo distant future,😀 there's just so many straw bails a man can roll before he says "nooooo moor" 😆
Check the fuel tank breather isn't blocked or the fuel filter housing isn't cracked.
I don't know if your Defender has a diagnostic port, but if it has try borrowing a code reader and see what codes pop up.
maybe worth while keeping an ald tin of brake cleaning in her min, wee scoosh down the intake while trying to crank it. ad be checking you wiring and fuel line from the pump to injectors.
Air is getting into the fuel system or there’s crap getting into the fuel pipes and when you prime it is gets pushed back into the tank and when you start it it will sook it back in
Did you check the lines for porosity? Could be sucking in air.
Check the fuel lines and injectors
Do the same as u did last year and do tally of bull calves and heifer calves
I had a tractor that was similar worked fine then would just die off. Found the issue when ploughing it would run fine with left wheel in furrow but die with right wheel in. It was an air bubble forming somewhere that only moved through the system when leaning. New lift pump fixed that. Does the landrover die when on a certain angle like up in to the shed? Could be gaining air somewhere then the slope lets it through.
Crawford have you tested your battery in Land Rover? Dodgy alternator maybe?
I reckon the problem with the Landy is one or more parts aren't working properly... just replace them and it'll be fine again. Simple
🤣 thanks
@@CrawfordsFarm1 No worries... easily overlooked 😅
seems like an electrical issue, its ecu controlled fuel injection in these? Have you checked earths and yellow relays (fuel and main ) next to ecu / under driver seat for corrosion / intermittent
Have you replaced your fuel pipes, perhaps they are oerished and letting air into system,
Could be a small hole in the fuel line
Did you change filters and run it before you cleaned the tank? Could be filters again
if you can make it .. get it to the garage and let a pro have a go 🤠😎🤠
Have you changed the injector wiring harness in the top of the rocker cover. Quite a simple job.
Was that your wee man watching your vid near the end?
Time to give up on the Defender Crawford and get an old Hilux
Never
Lawson's in Methven will sort you out (Alex H) or give you some good advice on what to look for
Losing prime obviously. Check entire fuel line for tiny leaks. Doesn't take much
Cheers will do
350,000 mile on my abused landcruiser. On the button.
Try wire to fuel cut off on injector pump ?
Has that landrover got a camshaft sensor?
Fuel starvation some how by sounds of it run with fuel cap off hope its nott vacuuming in tank
Yeh i did try this, made not difference
@@CrawfordsFarm1 back to basics then blowing out all fuel lines and checking unions etc Is fuel pump electric ? Run a feed to it from battery if it is Don’t let it beat you
It wont, injector seals this afternoon
cows seem to be goinging well Crawford as for jeep there would be no fun if it ran perfect every time ld
Isn't that lorry supposed to be swept out before it gets to you?
Air in fuel lines or she’s choked by not getting air in ? Leave fuel cap off for a few km/weeks and see 😅
Take that scrap pile to the scrappys
Doesn t help much if it s getting false air inside fuelsystem.
I Take it that the poorly calf didn't make 🙁
Its the one getting bottle fed
I think it's time you visit AM Phillip and get yourself a Ford Danger, also why are you jumping the Land Rover on the battery neg ? should always have the neg earthed to the car its self it will stop a surge going each way and killing the ECU.
I assume you have already, but running injector diesel engine cleaner through it? The puzzles half the ‘fun’ though eh. Good luck.
Air leak 8n ur fuel line
Sell that landrover she will be worth a fortune as long as the buyer takes it away on a trailer 😂
Marmite situation love ❤️ hate Land rover. 😊😊😊
its likley to be injecters
Your uncle ripped you off by selling that pile of ...
try trade for a Nissan or ford LOL
Get it sold to a land rover fanatict they are normally found south o the border in large numbers as they believe that the English English folk invented the land rover and nothing else can compete with them off road and will pay absolutely stupid money to get there hands on the piles of junk 😂😂
Scrap it and buy something Japanese 😂
Messaged you on Instagram mate
I’ve a fuel system diagram that’ll help and I’m pretty hand on a TD5
