Being a youngster of 15 years I witnessed Khilona in one army unit at Akhnoor where civilians were not allowed. I put on my NCC uniform and took along couple of friends. Requested gate sentry who allowed us. Mumtaz is one star of those olden days. Now I am 72 but a fast fan of Mumtaz. God bless her with all comforts in remaining part of life. Regards.

Most beautifull actress of all time .. I was eight or 9 years and my sister took me to see Tere Mere Sapne that was the first time I laid eyes on Mumtaz ever since I have seen all her films .. some Whete she disappeared from films never to see her again . Until recently she is popping up on the internet it was a joy to see her in present time giving interviews and see her all over again .. Funny enough I had read she had married and moved to London in 1983 I visited London and I some how I taught in the back of my head I will run into her .. well happy to see her giving interviews and talking about filmy things . Always will remain my favourite Actress recently I saw her in a movie Aaina ..

There is a great ironical twist in the opening stanza "Sanam tu bewafa ke naam se .... " How can one be famous (mashoor) with derogatory (bewafa) label? Yet in this context, to be notoriously unfaithful heightens the charm of the patron. That is a great poetic flourish. Very naughtily , the dancer girl says that such insult of the suitor could be acceptable to her..... Hats off to lyricist Anand Bakshi ji. Of course the singing of Lataji, dance of Mumtaz ji and the music of LP duo are superb. A delightful combination. 03APR19
