Garden Hill evacuees confront racism, told to leave Canalta hotel

On Sunday night, Indigenous activists and evacuees from Garden Hill First Nation questioned a woman working at the Canalta hotel in Selkirk, about an incident involving racial slurs by guests and mistreatment by hotel staff towards children. Shortly after this footage was taken around 9 pm, the evacuees were told they had to pack up their belongings and leave the hotel. Residents of Garden Hill were forced to flee their community because of wildfires.
