- Attention photographers! This latest Adobe Lightroom update is a total game changer that will save you loads of time. Previously, removing objects from photos required using clone, healing, or erase tools in Lightroom, which weren't always perfect. We often had to switch to Photoshop's Generative Fill and then back to Lightroom. But not anymore!
The new Lightroom update integrates Generative Fill directly into both Adobe Lightroom Classic and Adobe Lightroom (web) version, and it works incredibly well. This is especially revolutionary for photographers who need to remove light stands and other unwanted elements from their photos.
With Generative Fill now in Lightroom, you can place your lights close to your subjects for beautiful lighting without worrying about editing them out later. This new feature makes post-processing a breeze, taking only seconds to perfect your shots.
Don't wait-update your Lightroom now and start experimenting with this amazing new tool. Your photography workflow will never be the same!

Unbelievable! Thanks a lot
You're welcome!
Whoa! I just updated my lightroom and love it. Yay! Yay! Yay!
It is the best!
Amazing!!! OCF game just has just been leveled up.
Right?!!!
Thank you for the reminder to update, Trevor! I’ll try it this afternoon. Also, I appreciate the quality content over the years 🙏🏼
You are so kind. Thanks so much. Love the photo community! Best group of people to be working with - examples of great people lending a hand every day.
FINALLY. Love it.
It is seriously amazing. It's like Christmas morning in May.
Definitely amazing what you can do now.
Imagine what it will look like 2 years from now.
@@MagnetMod Yeah right.
Oh wow! Thanks for this. I updated lightroom but didn’t even bother checking what’s new. Lol. Been doing this same workflow LR>PS (gen ai)>LR the past few days and wouldn’t have known how easy it is now. Can’t wait to try it. Thanks!
what is the image quality of the generated pixels? is it still 1024 x 1024? or it matches the resolution of the original image?
Is this function available for Lightroom mobile?
Yes! All four of these platforms.
1. Lightroom on desktop (mac and win)
2. Lightroom on mobile (iOS, Android, and iPadOS)
3. Lightroom Classic
4. Adobe Camera Raw
For this example in the video I used Lightroom Classic on a MacBook Pro.
Yes indeed!!! What an update!
Can’t stand the subscription model, but it’s getting harder and harder to stay with my LR5 😮
Yeah it seems everything is going that direction unfortunately. I do think this feature alone is a time saver that could be quantified to cover the cost. Hours saved equals money in pocket.
Stoked for this. Going to save so much time.
Yes! Crazy amount of time.
What's the resolution on the generated portions like? Photoshop's generative fill is limited due to having less resolution on generated portions of the image.
Skylum should be worried.
Very
Does it count to our allocated AI credits per month?
It's been hard to find super clear info about that part but what I've heard so far is that it's unlimited in LR but that if you use all your credits it will still work just slowed down. If I find more info about it I'll let you know, and likewise please do the same and share anything you find.
Now if Magmod could just fix their XL gel holders to actually hold the gels, life would be good. 😆😆
Hey yo... 😂 - encourage you to reach out to our support team if you seem to have issues. let them know about your experience. Also if would be helpful we can put together a video with tips on installing the dome gels. We definitely want installing those to be just as easy as Generative AI is in Lightroom.
@@MagnetMod Thanks for the info. I did reach out to them and they basically referred me to a YT video that I had already seen but was still unable to get the gels to attach. So I returned them and will just bite the bullet and pay the Profoto tax and buy the easy to use, but over priced magnet Profoto gels. ☹☹
