    This is a transformerless power supply using X-rate Capacitor. plz, don't touch the circuit because 220V AC damages you.

    Thank you very much for your circuit and very clear soldering. In my opinion instead of connecting capacitor after bridge rectifier, it is better to connect after zener diod. After zener diod, voltage will drop 12 volt for example according to the zener diod voltage and capacitor will not be hot. Thanks.

    his assembly seems dangerous to me because of the 220V.
    There is no protection.
    Better to use a 220V 2X12V transformer then diode bridge. AND then capacitors as well as 12V regulator this is much more secure.

    Hi friend
    But the ad installed the wrong direction and I am surprised that how it worked.!!!
    You installed the + of. Z diod to Gnd.which has a vertical black line.while it must connect to positive v( +v)

    Hi what is the value of led (watt ) that you used ? Can i work with 1.6 amps using ur circuit ?

      @@homemade_101 hi i think you dint understand what i meant . I am using 12 V 10 W led bulb as well as esp12 F that consumes 800 mA . so the net current consumed is 1.6 A aprroximately . So can i use your circuit to get 1.6 A at the output ( DC output ) . If yes , can you share the link for its schematic work ?

    Whats the calculated max current at output ?

      Current I = V/Z, where V is the voltage and Z is the impedance. Capacitive Reactance XC1 = 1/(2πfC), where f is the frequency and C is the capacitance. I = (Vin - Vd - Vz)/(X1 + R1) = (230 - 0.7 - 12)/(4637 + 100) = 0.046A = 46mA.
