Great story song. Don't hear it down here in the States, only when in Canada. My fave song of hers is Honey Hair.

I've had a crush on her since '64. Saw them in concert @ Fordham University in '68 or '69.

I could've sworn that I commented on this video the other day. Thanks for posting it. Great to have a video from Sylvia, I'd no idea she'd ever done one. This album was Gypsy Cadillac, but she also recorded this song with Quartette, I believe. Now we have a video for Sylvia and one for Ian (18 Inches of Rain).

even tho i replied, comment didn't stick... I saw 2 solo concerts here in Nov 2007, lovely. she sang a couple new songs, one called "Bones", about the passing of familial traits thru the generations, gorgeous song. She's still part of the group Quartette who occasionally tours and records. Hope to get one more CD from her before retirement. A lovely voice and song writer.

Thank you. I have always liked her voice. I wish the lucky individual who has a copy of Sylvias' 'Womans World" would post it, too. (My copy got wrecked.)

She's got a very unique and beautiful voice, and has written some lovely songs... I guess fame and fortune is sometimes a result of geography, but thankfully she found her niche. This video was made for the tv show "Country Gold" where i posted the other 2 clips from.

Songs from the Gravel Road is a biography, kind of, of Ian, but Sylvia appears in the
first or second of ten episodes.

I didn't know she was left handed. Beautiful singer and lady. She and Ian are still very good friends.

I should've mentioned that Sylvia Tyson wrote this song with Shirley Eikhard.
