  • Hey Hunters,
So excited to share a clip of the Movie I had the pleasure to work on. Here we go into the history Easter Island and highlight some of the problems with the current story.
Let me know what you think? Were the builders of Rapa Nui connected to the other ancient sites? Is the Islands civilisation older that we were taught?
If you enjoyed the clip and want to support the project and watch the whole documentary then you can watch it here -

This is excellent, Jahannah! I'm so glad you've done this. I agree that the original English dubbing was problematic, and I would often find myself having to concentrate too much on what had been said rather than what was being shown, then having to read between the lines. This completes the masterpiece. Cheers!

That’s not exactly true. We look for written words on paper. Or chisels into stone. But some people in Micronesia had navigational charts. They were first mistaken as very crude fishing nets by anthropologists. But they looked like “dream catchers” made by southwest amerindians. Held up to the night sky they accurately depict the positions of certain celestial bodies as seen from a specific position. Feather capes had patterns in them. Carved sticks as well. These carried meaning just as surely as Egyptian hieroglyphs do.
That we did not recognize them as such is on us, not them.
      Fox out.

I've never seen such an incredible view of Rapa Nui as that first one you showed just here in the video. It's awesome. I like your voiceover very much too. I have seen other French-made videos on similar subjects whose English-language versions were a little bit spoiled by a bad translation and voiceover - but then I guess we're lucky they do an English version at all.
I agree with another commentator: it's mind-blowing that they developed their own writing! (Or got it from somewhere). Unique in Polynesian languages as far as I know.

If you go on the expedition to the barbar caves I have a request. Ask the team to do a few scans of other random caves in India. I think it would be really cool to see the difference in engineering, design, and geometry between the specific caves they showed and just a normal cave that the Indian civilization built. Like seeing the difference between Inca construction side by side with the more ancient megalithic stuff

Regarding the migration from one polynesian island to Easter Island, there is something you should know about, and may be worth your while to check out.
According to the Polynesians, they navigated around the Pacific by interpreting wave patterns on the surface of the ocean.
They could tell from the pattern of waves, in which direction land lay, and how far it was.
By this means, they travelled from one island to another over thousands of miles of open ocean.
This is how they ended up on Easter Island; it is also how the Maoris ended up on New Zealand.
    Something to think about.

Regarding Rapa Nui, are you familiar with the theory that it is simply the highest piece of land from a now sunken continent, lost to one of the planet’s more recent cataclysms? And that it was in that cataclysm that most land masses were coated in “muck”, (which is what buried the statues up to their heads) with sea levels rising significantly worldwide.

First, it is indisputable that there was a worldwide civilization that built megalithic structures and Ahu Vinapu is, no doubt, one spot where the ancients existed. As to where they ancients went-that's a discussion for another day. Second, it has become obvious that there was an eastward migration from Asia to the Americas. Perhaps the ancients did this because they needed workers?

Easter island is the last remnant of the great lost continent of Mu which was the origin civilisation that colonised areas of the planet including Peru, Egypt, Atlantis etc. The continent was destroyed in the great cataclysm that occurred around 12500 years ago. The modern occupants are not related to the ancient people that came before. The area that is the island today, is only a small fragment of what was a large quarry region.
