@Br. Bill Exactly right! Even the big powerful ones that kill a lot of bugs don't kill many mosquitoes. They do however kill MANY of the bugs which songbirds rely on. So, if you hate songbirds, or birds in general, and other amazing wildlife? Do Not Use These Contraptions!!!!

Thanks for this honest review. Apparently, YT has no problem taking money to advertise junk scam products. The buzz be gone ad just popped up this evening, and like some other commenters noted, it had the stench of scam all over it. I hate to admit it, but I was conned into buying a very similar device (actually, a 2-pack) a couple of years ago. The “amazing” POS that I purchased has a solar/USB battery and a strobe/SOS flashlight along with the bogus “ultraviolet” light and zapper screen. It is about the same size as the buzz be gone device, and it even has an orange cage around it, too. If I had to guess, this new scam product is just a re-packaged version of the junk that I bought - from the same scam company. I have set my two units up - outside and at night - on some very hot and humid Georgia nights many times, and I think they would zap a couple of gnats each. Not ONE mosquito. As others have said, mosquitos are primarily attracted to CO2. Perhaps the ultraviolet-ish light acts as a beacon of sorts at night, but not enough to make the mosquitos want to fly into the zapper. Maybe the people who say this product has actually worked for them have some really stupid mosquitos, because the ones around me have no interest in the light. I finally purchased one of the original big bug zappers last year, and it has exterminated a ton of bugs, not just mosquitos. And I’m sure the main reason it kills mosquitos is the little package of Octenol that is placed in a holder just under the large “ultraviolet” light in my big bug zapper. The Octenol is heated by the light, and it gives off something very similar to CO2. The mosquitos get fried when they try to get to the Octenol (which I have to replace every 2 weeks or so). The bottom line is: if you want to kill mosquitos, don’t fall for these bogus ads and make these scumbags rich. Get a good old-fashioned big bug zapper with the Octenol compartment (and keep it supplied with the Octenol packets). Sorry for the extremely long post, but I hope this will convince anyone thinking about spending their hard-earned cash on this piece of junk to avoid it.

Thanks to you and your brother for taking a "hit" for the team. I watched several reviews of this obviously scam product just for fun, and yours was the only one that really focused on whether the darn thing attracts mosquitos and reduces mosquito bites that you get. Most of the others were more circumspect, and focused on things like the inflated price, given that the exact same thing is available elsewhere for much less. Some of them seemed to indicate that if it killed any bugs at all, that's a win, whereas killing non-target insects such as moths should be seen as a negative, not a positive. Clearly, any money spent for this thing is too much.
I saw a Buzz B gone ad on CZcams saying this product was really good and it was going to change the world

Never trust a CZcams commercial! If CZcams is willing to air it it is definitely a scam. I have yet to find an honest CZcams commercial

Damn! Youre using it the wrong way. You have to hit mosquito using the buzzbgone. It has a wide base so that you have a bigger chance of hitting them. Purple light is just setting the mood and making you feel like your using a light saber. Then bring frog as a sidekick 🐸

Good and finally a legit review! I seen the commercial on CZcams, NEVER considered buying one and even thought the whole 'kid allergic to mosquitoes invented one" story was bogus
I bought one and tested it in all different circumstances , it does not work during day time ,it does not work if its windy , it only works at night with no wind and no one around it , if you sit out side with the buzz b gone at your feet it will attract mosquitoes and they will bite you instead of flying into the trap , i left it outside every night for a week and found that it kills heaps of moths and very few mosquitoes .
Thanks for this... Is also a valuable education in how many 'reviews' out there are actually advertisements. We used to have one of those old school bug zappers on our farm.. Plugged into the power.. That thing was an extermination machine.. As kids we enjoyed the fireworks when a particularly humongous bug paid the price for flying into the death trap!

I had to dig for this review bc many are just biased or seller-based ads .. this gives me the real ans (which I knew already) but wanted something "new" that maybe isn't $300 to produce c02 and eradicates them .. thank you for helping me save $$ and I will just go back to fogging my area (outside) and trying to figure out how they are getting inside my house .. !!
So, I bought a mosquito magnet in or around 2000 from front gate. It was 750.00, ! I know in recent years it has become a lot cheaper. It uses an attractant and it runs off a propane tank. They get close to the attractant and a faint vacuum sucks them into a mesh bag where the dry up and die. In 2005 I took it to no name key in Florida and it captured no see um too.! It is the only thing I have. Ever found to work. And I found you could get one that runs off electricity.

I've bought two of these different sizes and one indoors light bulb all worthless just one knat it killed. I used it in extremely high mosquito area also the mini a/c barely works.

I like the idea of its long battery life any portable. Vortex ones are the best ive seen so far..they work on Co2 attractant.
Ive found you need at least 2 in an area. You have to plug them in and the fans are not quiet.

Good ole fashioned citronella candle works pretty well. At the fire station we lit the 3 wick "off!" Backyard candle (which ironically states not intended to repell mosquitos) and just set it on the floor next to the ambulance in the bay since the doors are constantly opening and closing and the sucker burned the whole 24hr shift with plenty to go and made a noticeable difference 🤷♂️

Thanks for the honest review, I saw a lot of bad reviews on Amazon after people bought it aswell.
On Amazon the ratings went up as the price went down for the same product. The best it got was 4.0 out of 5.0. But I can buy them for $2.74 here in the Philippines. So, I am going to pick up a few to try them out for myself. I don't think sitting right next to the mosquito killer is a valid test. The mosquito is going to go for a live human every time regardless of how well and scientifically built any mosquito killer might be.

When I saw the commercial on CZcams it had scam written all over it. All these "inventions" are always done by some young person who is "shaking up the industry". People like this need to be charged with confidence scams or something. Such misleading ads
I bought 3 of the Zappify Z20 and it caught small moths and a few small bugs. Going to try with the additional light at twilight and use inside in dark rooms.
These days most reviews are not genuine.... thanks for your honesty in your review. I noticed you never mentioned the fan, maybe that doesn't exist either. If it admitted Carbondioxide it would catch them!
There was no fan on the model I reviewed, so it was probably just misleading marketing.

I run mine at night, when the lights are out. Does pretty good for me - gets them skeeters and other flying critters that can get through. And, been using it for at least two years. Nightly. Granted, the battery is starting to go bad (rechargeables will only last so long). I'd buy a new one no problem.
I have been using buzz be gone in side my house in Missouri and it works great. It gets full ofclittle bugs. Ibwpuld recommend it. I dont know of many lights that works during day time.

You too? Ordered mine two weeks ago, got confirmation of order placed but no confirmation of shipping or tracking. When it didn't arrive as promised got in touch and was told no record of my order, OR my email. Then sent them banking proof they had received my payment and was told a ticket had been made out for me (for what? they know i placed the order, the bank statement showed my unfortunate purchase of FOUR of these things) and that they were backlogged and would get back to me. No word of this when they offered, and I paid for, expedited shipping. No further word from them but they have had my money going on three weeks.

The best thing about CZcams ads is you can immediately look up reviews - thanks! The worst thing about CZcams ads is they regularly sell garbage and are one of the big refuges for blatant false advertising like this product! Too bad there is no comment section for the ads themselves.

Ah it depends. Where you put it. I have tested it killed many little moths and few mosquito in calm night but bad windy won't come. I yet truly test especially for mosquito. This climate weather crazy waiting for calm night.

As a far as I know, most members of the mosquito family sense CO2 to find prey.
And attracted to body odours. UV does not have any odour. But this and the plethora of similar snake oil saleswomen devices - stinks.
