IN EU the GTi is only the 1.8t which comes only FWD.
There is 1.6 FWD only, 1.8 N/A 2.0 4cyl 2.3 v5 2.8 vr6 with awd(4motion/haldex) and of course r32 standard awd.
IN US the GTi are both the 1.8t and 2.8 vr6 coming only with FWD and the r32 awd.
Different markets different options.
The vr6 2.8 and the vr6 3.2(r32) are basically the same engines with different bore (2.8 comes with 12v and 24v, the r32 is only 24v)
In other words if your hands get down on one of these in those days (good millage, well kept, mind condition), doesn't matter which one of the vr6 engines has, get it!
Anyone who owned a hatchback once in their life, had at least said once to him self, gad damn that car is practical, and you freaking squeeze in it nice 6cyl with so respected engine note (that engine sound is just symphony by itself), by my personal and damn right opinion you get the best Daily driving car ever.

Technically it's not a full awd it's called 4 motion so when the front wheels loose traction the rear kicks in but you're right it does help out with take offs over all this review was awesome great work

15 degree angle for cylinders, single cylinder head. combustion chambers on the pistons. Haldex awd system, front wheel drive biased. not all time all wheel drive like subarus. Definitely less then 5k r32s in the United States now.
R32 or 3.2 VR6 is on 10.6 degree angle the 2.8's are the engines on a 15 deg. The 3.2 debuted in the RSi beetle w/220 hp then the mk4 w/240 and finally the mk5 & TT w/250hp due to minor changes and tweaking in between generations.
Thats a Boser hood done right. I've seen some that droop too far and look terrible.

or so i have heard :D
and allows one cylinder head vs a v6 has 2 cylinder heads normally. also in the gti vr6 golfs the 12v is 5 speed and slower in mk4 and the 24v is 6 speed and makes 200hp/198 lb ft of torque! also the benefit of r32 definitely is the 4 motion system, making it harder for the car to not catch grip

No that's not correct in the US where this review originates. Mk3 and Mk4 GTI's are offered in the GLX package with a 2.8 VR6. Additionally 1.8T and 2.0T Mk4 GTI's are also offered. In the Mk1, 2, and 3 you had 8V and 16V 2.0 4 cylinder engine. In the MK5 generation you saw the Rabbit which was offered in the V5 you are referring to. But the GTI was never offered in a V5 or VR5.
Only problem with these cars, they are HEAVY

its not true dual, look underneath yes there are dual tips but you have a single pipe in the middle section that meets right after the cats to the cat back so no its not a "true dual" exhausts it would be if there wasn't a single pipe for the mid section maybe he did some work to it now but from the factory its not a true dual exhaust

That is not correct. You are correct in that there is a single center pipe, but there are 2 pipes coming off the headers into 2 separate CAT's, which is what is required to be a true dual exhaust configuration by definition.
im not gonna argue with ya man its not a "true dual exhaust " it s a type of dual exhaust set up but not a true dual exhaust otherwise you would have it being dual from front to back
