    I find that in the vivo my smaller toes run to the top and outside edges because of the shape of the shoe so I have to size-up. Other than this, they're a good shoe.

    • @AngusLogan
      @AngusLogan  Před 6 měsíci +1

      You’ll find the freets are a bit wider for the small toes.

      @@AngusLogan I'm going to try a xero mesa trail ii as I think it also has more of a rounded front compared with the vivo which are more pointed towards the big toe. I may try the Freet at some point too though, I wear them daily so having a few to rotate wouldn't be bad.

    I'm so glad I found you! I have very wide feet with a high instep. I just bought the new Vivo Tracker Decon 2 and they were painfully tight in my instep and they squeezed my little toe - even with the insert out. I also had a lot of heel slip and got terrible blisters in 20 minutes. I was really bummed because i am walking on trails and streets every day and needed something grippy and am very into going barefoot. They were very grippy and seemed well made, but stay away from those if you have wide high volume feet. I can't wait to try the Feldoms. Would you recommend these for Fall and Winter?

    • @AngusLogan
      @AngusLogan  Před rokem

      Fall yes, for snow and winter the ibex boot would be better. Although try the Feldom first, if they fit good you know the ibex will fit too.

      @@AngusLogan Angus, I got the Freet Feldoms today and they're like night and day with the Vivo Tracker. I have plenty of space in the shoe in the toe box and instep and the laces aren't even wide apart because I got the wider fit. They're super comfortable and grippy just like the Trackers. I did a 2 mile light hike including some bouldering and rough trail walking and they were wonderful and reliable! I like the extra tread on this model for hike-walking. My feet are happy. I'll be going with Freet from now on!

    I prefer the feel of Freet but get fed up re-glueing them! Vivo seem to last a lot longer. Just my tuppence worth.

    Thanks for this review! How is the weight of the Feldoms compared to the Primus trail FGs?

    • @AngusLogan
      @AngusLogan  Před 2 lety +1

      The primus sole feels just a little heavier.

    Hi!! So awesome I am just about buying new shoes for running / trailrunning and saw your videos, thanks a lot! One question though: I’m doubting on the Feldom vs Flex vs Tanga. Can’t make up my mind - didn’t see them irl. Can you help me out please?

    • @AngusLogan
      @AngusLogan  Před 2 lety +1

      For trail, the Feldom 100% way better grip. For the summer the tanga is awesome if it fits your feet like it does for me.

    Thanks for the comparison! I've been eyeing the primus trail FG for a while now, but hesitant because I have wide feet and they are not cheap. Do you find the Freet Feldom and Tanga are sized the same? One reviewer mentioned that the Feldom comes much longer than the Tanga in the same size. Just trying to figure out what size to order. I usually have to size up to get the width.

    • @AngusLogan
      @AngusLogan  Před 2 lety +1

      I find them the same. I have a wide short foot.
      The tanga are my favourites.
      The primus looks amazing i like the new kint version. But I like the flexibility of freet.

      What did you not like?

    • @memania-
      @memania- Před 10 měsíci

      I tried a different model, the Citee.
      They are made of cheap material, the whole shoe is made of plastic!
      I wouldnt pay more than £25 for shoes of that quality.
      I liked the super wide toebox but the sole had a slight curvature in it and made my feet feel somewhat unstable.
      In a way they make Vivobarefoot shoes look like a bargain!
