To those who claim she's "doing to much vocally", explain Darryl Coley, Smokie Norful, Karen Clark-Sheard, Twinkie Clark, Leandria and so forth. Please explain the difference between her and them, other than her being known for her "secular" music.
one of the marvelous things about the original recording is the restraint Tramaine shows throughout the first two-thirds of the song. The squalling and upper range belting doesn't start until almost the fade-out. We all know Ledisi can belt out high notes in full voice. She could have shown more restraint dynamically and in terms of pitch. Her performance was wonderful but kind of the vocal equivalent of a whooping preacher starting his sermon at the end. There's nowhere to go when you start at the top.

I've known it but it really just hit me. A lot of people praise Ledisi's voice but she is walking protege of Tramaine. That's probably why her voice is so clear and you can understand almost everything she says. That's what Tramaine was taught by her grandmother and passed on to Ledisi.

I heard Ledisi for the first time some years ago in Cleveland Ohio at a Martin Luther King birthday celebration concert at the Rock and roll Hall of Fame I did not know who she was had never heard of her but the girl, not only did she sing phenomenally but she ministered and witnessed all through the time she was on the floor to let you know that she served the Lord she loved God and she gave God the Glory for all that she had accomplished. God got people everywhere in every area and career thats out here.

it took me a couple of listens to get it, but its awesome and powerful. i had to keep in mind that this is live and those notes were killer, very difficult song to sing i dont think too many people can like ledisi, my favorite ledisi gospel song is when she did "be grateful" at the Walter Hawkins Tribute Concert, she was flawless there

Wow. Ledisi is amazing! People say that all of her riffs, runs and facial expressions are too much. Everyone has a different way of vocal expression. There are tons of gospel artists that have similar styles. She sings like Ledisi, not Tramaine and they both wear this song out! People are cracking me up on here saying that she is "in pursuit" of the anointing, blah blah blah. Good grief! There are plenty of gospel artists out there using their gift with ZERO power. People support them because they are "Gospel" artists. Wow...instead of tearing her apart and assuming that she doesn't have a relationship with God according to your beliefs and standards, then pray for her then ask God deliver you from your judgmental spirit. A beautiful and very talented artist, she reminds me a lot of Patti too, especially when she hits those notes! She is very underrated! It’s sad that the secular side of the business is all about marketing a certain look for artists today. This young lady can sing with the best of them. I would love to see Ledisi, Le Andria, Fantasia, Kelly Price, Tina Campbell and Yolanda Adams together on tour! It would be a long show, but, can you imagine the blessing that you would get from hearing their music ministry?

Hey Haikeem! It's the Samsung GC200! It's a 21x Zoom and 100% optical zoom! It's actual a computer as well with a 4.5 inch viewing screen. It has all the apps like a cell phone & you can upload your videos directly from the camera. I was sitting right beneath the bacony (about 20 rolls back) and still got great footage! I just bought a monopod so the next time it wont a strain to hold it up.
