Below are some extracts from the above page that you might find useful.
      1. You might have read or heard that folic acid is not safe if you have one or two copies of the MTHFR C677T variant. This is not true. Even if you have one or two copies of the MTHFR C677T variant, your body can safely and effectively process the different types of folate, including folic acid.
      2. When consuming the same amount of folic acid, people with the MTHFR 677 TT genotype have an average amount of folate in their blood that is only slightly lower (about 16% lower) than people with the MTHFR 677 CC genotype.

I call them medical mafia. They are brainwashed pill pushers who do not bother to research for themselves. However, many are waking up, a lot more than in the past and especially now with the cv vax, which pregnant women not only avoid that jab but avoid people who got it. There are people saying there are ways to stay safe around them though. 1 of several measures is a personal wearable ionizer. Get one. They are rechargeable and hang around the neck and does something to prevent the vaxed shedding onto the non vaxed.

Thank you Becca!! This was so helpful in that it allowed me to see that I am right on track with what I am taking and doing during my pregnancy. It's soooo hard to know what you need, esp when you sometimes feel like the MD or NP doesn't even know (i.e. Folic Acid vs Folate). For any other soon to be mommas out there just want to add that the Natural Calm DEFINITELY DOES help with constipation, at least for me. I only wish I had thought of it sooner! It was one of my worst first trimester symptoms (+bloating). I actually take the Rasp-Lemon Mag + Calcium since I don't eat dairy. It's fantastic! Thanks again and keep the healthy info coming!

From an independent study by labdoor, Natural Vitality Natural Calm scored low (48 out of 100) due to -
    "Ratings and Key Data
This product recorded concerning levels of total arsenic and exceeded its label claim for magnesium by 2.9%."

I always assumed it was only functional medicine or naturopathic doctors who knew but hearing that you’re taught it in school too makes me think conventional doctors are majorly slacking on their research. I mean come on I have no background in medicine or diet and I learned about the most bioavailable forms of vitamins just through my own research.

everyone should take magnesium, also when taking D3 we need K2 mk7 to disperse magnesium and calcium where it needs to be. I have learned a ton of info on vitamins and minerals in menopause fb groups...tonnns of knowledge in the rooms.
Magnesium is life changing for so so many. I use tab, spray on my feet and the calm, which ever i feel like..the mag oil bypasses the stomach which is the best form, and its super cheap to make you own.

I look forward to your suggestion. Your video has been so helpful!

Super helpful video, thank you!! I think you mentioned the red raspberry tea leaf was in your prenatal but since it’s not in mine do you recommend any particular supplement for this? Or should I just drink the tea everyday? It’s unfortunate that medical doctors are not trained in nutrition/supplements much. My OB barely looked at my prenatal that I took with me to my first appt and kindof skimmed over the topic. Disappointing. So your expertise helped so much, wish I had known some of this sooner! I am 20 weeks pregnant, we’re so close! :)

F M i think it is not recommended drinking the tea until you are around 35 weeks. It might give you contractions. You can do your research but my midwife told me to start around 36 weeks, however some people take it around 30 weeks .

    • @BestNestWellness
      @BestNestWellness Před 5 lety +2

      Hi, Melody.
Some supplement companies include both folate in the form of methylfolate AND folic acid. This actually shows their lack of understanding the methylation process and how folic acid factors in. Companies usually use folic acid because (1) It's synthetic and cheaper to make and (2) because they just go with the mainstream, and folic acid has been mainstream for a long time.
One problem with including folic acid is methylfolate utilization can be blocked by the folic acid -- it actually interferes with the enzymes that are tasked with using methylfolate and the other folates coming from our foods.
Unlike folic acid, MethylFolate, when consumed, does not have to be converted into active folate-being already the body’s most active folate form, it can be immediately used by our folate enzyme systems. That's what Becca explained in her video!
      Hope that helps!

So I actually just picked out prenatals today and I don't really have much knowledge on nutrition other than the basics. I almost got everything dead on correct except for mine has Folic Acid instead of Folate and I've never been tested for that mutation so I have no idea if I really should be taking the Folate instead, hopefully I don't, crossing my fingers.

From what I understand dairy products actually leach calcium from us instead of giving it to us, because the form it's in, in the dairy milk etc, our bodies don't get to process it properly. Of course it's worse with regular dairy products, like mainstream name brands than say with organic grass fed cows without the hormones, unnatural diet, etc..... thinking the gmo grains most cafo cows are fed while confined in a stall all day contributes to toxic products.
I was very unhealthy with upper respiratory infections much of my life after vaxes in elementary school and the dairy played a role. The cheese seems to not have as great a detrimental impact as the milk for some reason. The nut milks are way better for me including almond, cashew, and coconut, plus have more calcium the body can more easily process and utilize. I still love cheese and so long as I stick to organic cheeses I'm good!!
Lots of people explaining why cows milk doesn't actually supply calcium but leaches it from our bodies. So maybe pull up more videos on that because I cannot quote them verbatim. Lots of science behind everything and since learning just about everything we're told by mainstream is upside down and backwards, I love looking through alternative information and sifting through it intuitively to make my own decisions. I recommend everyone do that for themselves because we are not a one size fits all deal and may have things which affect us each differently.
I have a friend who did her DNA because they had an offer to also tell her about her genetics in regards to her health and what foods would make her healthier and which ones might make her ill. She had to do things a lot differently than everyone else. She's someone who cannot have any dairy nor anything with calcium. I never can remember the name of the DNA test but it's not one with words as a name, it's 3 letters idk, gri crg gci??? It's the only testing company which doesn't sell your information and gives you lists going back thousands of years of your entire ancestry, everyone you're related to and how, the complete migratory pattern your family's took etc etc etc...... gives a lot of information on your DNA more than any other..... I want to do this one when I get the chance and definitely no other test. The others all suck in comparison and are a complete waste of money, and highly inaccurate and very general.
