    I never thought I’d like the idea of photographing in the rain or a cloudy day until I’ve started watching your videos. The result is really quite dramatic and I’m starting to appreciate it. 4:47 and 7:32 were my favorites :) thanks Teo!

    Dope photos as usual, love the minimalism 😄, i was wondering, how do you location scout ( or decide where you're gonna go next) for the shoots?

    • @teocrawford
      @teocrawford  Před 4 lety

      Thank you Luka!🙇‍♂️ Hmm that's not really a fixed process. The location in this video was just a place I had heard of and I wanted to check out. And because I like to go when the weather is bad, I usually don't see many people, which can be convenient :D
      Otherwise Google Maps' satelite view is also pretty helpful. I just scroll around in places and look for something that looks interesting, like a huge field, a small lake or something similar. And sometimes it's just exploration. I take my bicycle to a place I don't really know and just go with what I find :)

    Have you used the Camera to Smartphone app for Sony? I use it to take self portraits, saves time going back to trigger and check the photo every time

    • @teocrawford
      @teocrawford  Před 4 lety +1

      Yes I have, and I hate it😬😅😅 At least on my phone it works terribly. And also the distance wouldn't have reached far enough, therefore that was unfortunately not an option🤷🏻‍♂️

      Teo Crawford are we talking about the imaging edge app?? I hate it so much!! I really wish sony would fix all it’s issues. I’m only able to use it with WiFi though - am I missing something, or is there another app I should know about?

      @teocrawford  Před 4 lety

      Ahhh thank you so much!🙇🏻‍♂️
      Nono, it's not always empty, I just picked a good day. I usually try to go shooting on days when I can assume to be more or less alone, because I much more prefer shooting somewhere alone🤷🏻‍♂️

    I was wondering whether you have the intervalometer feature on your A7? You could set it up to take, for example, 10 shots, one every 5 seconds.
    I used to run in front on my A7RII to take self portraits, like you do. But I am now hiking with a A6400, mainly because of its intervalometer and the reduced weight.

    • @teocrawford

    Could you tell me which focus mode and focus area do you use?

    • @teocrawford
      @teocrawford  Před 2 lety

      for normal shooting I believe I've got my camera set to AFS on wide. But for the self portraits I often set it to manual :)

  • @huycuongphan1063
    @huycuongphan1063 Před 2 lety

    don't you use any remote controller, or you just simply use the timer?

    • @teocrawford
      @teocrawford  Před 2 lety

      I just use the intervalometer of my camera (the mode used to shoot timelapses) :)

  • @electrichimp
    @electrichimp Před 3 lety

    When you set the timer, how do you get the camera to focus on you, since timer photos don’t allow for autofocus continous? It happens to me that the camera focuses on something when I start the timer, and it doesn’t loose track of that when I enter the frame

    • @teocrawford
      @teocrawford  Před 3 lety +1

      Yeah right, so I just focus on the landscape usually, or an object that is more or less the same distance from the camera as I aim to be. But mostly my shots are rather wide angle so the depth of field is pretty deep and hitting focus is therefore rather easy🙌🏼
      But please know, not all my shots are in focus. Many which are slightly off probably look fine on CZcams, because of the smaller display (depending of course where you watch🤷🏻‍♂️)

  • @sidneyazevedo
