You can do a Jam, where you put your paddle under the front of your canoe and angle the blade at 45 degrees, so that it acts as a rudder turning your canoe left, when you are on the right side. You can google Canoeing Jam, and there are videos. I hope this helps!

I just tried both of these techniques and tipped my canoe.
I’ve now been at the bottom of a lake for 3 months but it was worth a try.
