Once a boxer with a bright future, Chul-min now works at a parking lot and barely makes ends meet. One day, a visually impaired girl named Jung-hwa visit the parking lot and runs into him. From that day, she visits him every day and asks him to explain what happens on the TV show. He gradually falls for her, waiting to spend time with her. When Jung-hwa is in danger of getting sexually-assaulted by her supervisor, Chul-min beats the guy and saves her, but Jung-hwa blames him for solving every problem with violence. They eventually admit feelings for each other and become a couple. Chul-min decides to become an MMA fighter for a better future. True. She loves to experiment. She doesn't stick to one genre and same character style. Every project she shows a different han hyo joo. And that's why I love her..
I started becoming a huge fan back in 2009 because of Brilliant Legacy, but I didn't know she was the same actress who played the female lead in Spring Waltz which I saw years earlier. And already loved her that time. So I can say I've been a fan way before 2009.

Indeed - her and Son Ye Jin are both top tier then, now, and I'd bet to the end of their careers. Two of the best regardless of any role that they are casted in - you can tell they always put their all into it even if the movie or show itself is "meh".
This movie is done plenty of times, but this movie’s leads were excellent, the female lead crushes her role, and the male lead just makes you root for him period!!! The end is just beautiful, sad, tragic, and full of emotion!! Great Movie!!!!

Han Hyo-Joo is so perfect in this movie, it is ridiculous. Her and So Ji-Sub are an awesome on-screen pairing and compliment each other so well.

The way the writers play with our hearts by teasing us if they will meet again and live together. First we finally find out he was alive still and not dead. Then he was at the hospital she comes to volunteer to massage patients. But he doesn't say anything to have her recognize him because he feels he shouldn't interrupt her new happy life.
She then recognizes and remembers that man is her lover all along thanks to the dog's help. She runs after to find him. She breaks down in tears thinking she lost him forever now. But finally she finds him and our happy ending.
This is no doubt one of the best Korean Movie.
I still cry like a baby during this scene every time I watch it.

This movie is amazing. The first half of the movie slow, uneventful and Incredibly mild, but the second half was extraordinary, the unexpected twist, the incident that led to her losing her sight, wow that's just amazing piece of writing.

I strongly disagree. The first half was the best part, just watching them come together. The second half leaves the viewers with so many unanswered questions and it answered none of them. The final two scenes of the couple carried the entire second half of the film.

I have this DVD, and So Ji Sub does a great job. Makes me cry knowing he is disfigured and his blind girlfriend (who now can see) doesn't know it is HIM. He is the way he is due to fact he got beaten up to help her get a transplant for her eyes so she can see. Good acting So Ji. You never fail.

This was the first thing of Korea's entertainment industry that I watch. Fell in love with So Ji Sub and follows with I'm Sorry I Love You (fantastic drama). Both the movie and the drama were excellent. I realized that Korea had very talented actors/actresses.
Just a beautiful story . She was disabled at the beginning as she was blind while he was a normal man . Now he is disabled and crippled while she is a normal woman . Both stayed beside each other in times of distress
I watch this movie like 4 times and this was the most heart wrenching scene of the whole movie and had this grown man crying along with her…some of best movies I have seen were Korean drama or comedies…these two deserve an Oscar for there performance in this drama 🥰

Unfortunately tragedy struck and he was maimed and disfigured and quietly left her to live her new life. Two years later they meet again and she doesn't recognize him (maybe barely during the first meet, massage scene when she checked his name). The dogs reaction and him taking the turtle was what made it click for her, that he was the one she was waiting for.
