Suspect In Custody After Fleeing From Phoenix Police | West Phoenix

Phoenix Police attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a black Jeep SUV in West Phoenix around 1:00 AM Sunday morning. The vehicle fled from officers at a high rate of speed.

Ground units called for assistance from the Phoenix Police air unit. Phoenix Police Firebird helicopter tracked the vehicle from the air as ground units followed at a safe distance.

The suspect lead officers throughout the cities of Phoenix and Glendale before stopping at a gas station at the intersection of 67th Avenue and Indian School Road.

Units quickly surrounded the vehicle and took the suspect into custody without further incident.
