Iconic moment! I love that Master Roshi easily took Goku as a student. You could tell he was really sad to hear about Gohan's passing.

That little flying spinning turtle, is called Gamera. He is Godzilla's counterpart, so they speak. But way more child friendly in the 60s and 70s. In the mid 90s, the Gamera trilogy. Went a little more serious approach. So Gamera was Godzilla's competition in both franchises in Japan. So seeing little Gamera in this episode of Dragon Ball was a special treat and tribute, to the Gamera fans

Master Roshi is called “Mutenroshi” 武天老師 in Japanese, and it means something like “invincible old martial arts teacher/master.” He is also called Kame-sennin 亀仙人 or “Turtle Hermit.” So the sea turtle is his friend and he summoned a flying turtle similar to Gamora (the flying turtle monster in the Godzilla series). His ultimate move is the Kamehameha かめはめ波 which has the pun of “turtle” (kame) in front with a nonsense rhyme and ends with the kanji for “wave.” It’s also the name of Hawaii’s great king, which all Japanese children know as it’s a popular children’s song (which mocks the great king as being lazy, though in actuality, he was a tall, strong, intelligent strategist and diplomat who unified the Hawaiian islands and protected it from both the British Empire and the emerging superpower the United States).

Since you kinda censored the last part, I went and looked at the original video (just that part, lol), and it looks like there were some dialog changes, probably to make it kid friendly. In the original Japanese, the deal was not a date around the island, Bulma promised to let Mutenroshi touch her feminine charms on her upper body. And when Oolong successfully changed to almost an identical form as her, Bulma says, “Oh wow, I was wondering how someone looking like a movie actress suddenly appeared in front of me,” which makes Oolong grumble in disgust at her vanity, lol. And Oolong doesn’t want a guy touching him, so convinces Roshi to just look at him/her squeezing her female charms together. Afterwards, Bulma is super upset at Oolong for making her look cheap.
Also, in the scene between Goku and Chi-chi afterwards, the conversation is not about them thinking about each other. She asks if he’ll return to get her as his bride. Goku doesn’t know what that means, and Chi-chi, blushing, thinks he’s just playing dumb.

Since you mentioned that Chi-Chi asked Goku to make her his bride, it's worth mentioning that last episode, when he touched her crotch she didn't just randomly blush, but in Japanese version she thought to herself that now she has no choice but to become Goku's wife since he touched her 'there'.
