How to Make Homemade Banana Powder | Banana Porridge | Kaya Kurukku | Baby Food | Ep:985

Authentic Kerala Dishes with my personal Touch 😍
Ingredients
Raw Banana
for Kurukku
Banana Powder -2tbsp
Water -2cups
Salt -one pinch
Rock Candy -
Method
Take 2-4 raw banana and peel the skin. If the inside flesh part is pink in shade it is the right time to make this powder. You can use the skin for making other dishes. Take a new sponge and scrub the sticky part that is outside the raw banana. Slice the raw banana finely. Place the slices on a plate/tray or Moram.Keep a foil sheet on the moram and keep the slices on it. Don’t keep it on top of the other. Dry it under the sun for 2-3 days. It should be crispy.
Wash the grinder thoroughly and store it in the glass jar.
To make the porridge - take 2 tbsp of banana powder and put it ina glass of warm water. Mix it well. Add more water and stir. Sieve it and pour it to a milk pan. Do not add milk in the beginning of your baby’s solid food stage. We can make it in water for the toddlers in the beginning. Add rock candy accordingly. Add a pinch of salt. Let it cook and it will become thicker. You can make it warm before you serve it to your baby.
