Writing On Stone Provincial Park MUST SEE UNESCO Heritage Site! OFF SEASON | THE OFF GRID HUNTER

In this video we visit Writing On Stone Provincial Park. It has been designated a world heritage site by UNESCO and is located just north of the sweetgrass hills by Milk River Alberta.
Several tours are available where a local archeologist walks you through the site and interprets the rocks and petroglyphs left behind. I would recommend booking all the tours and doing a full day down here. This area is steeped in history and is well worth the drive if you are in the area. The biggest downside to the area is it is extremely far from any major city so there is some effort required to get here. I should also mention that it is extremely hot and windy in the summer in this area so bring extra water and hats for everyone. I would not recommend bringing extremely young children here I would make sure they were at least 5 years old otherwise the heat might be too much if you come in the summer. A tour early spring or late fall might be suited for those with young children.
