Why did I think Jeff would be riding it 😂
Same 😂
Seth rides his daughter’s bike!
That towee tow strap is such a game changer for me and my Dad. We got it as soon as we got an eMTB, and we can do lap after lap with that thing. We even tried towing 2 adult sized kids.
Nice to recognize the pump tracks at the beginning and some of the trails
Started my daughter in Strider 12, then 14x balance then with the pedals, and quickly moved her to the Cleary Hedgehog 16". It can not be overstated the advantage we give our kids in learning by giving them the right tools to learn on. I found a Polygon Relic 20" at a rediculous price and she rode that for a year, but just grabbed her a used Cleary Meerkat 24". I was looking around for the Prevelo Apha 4 also, we don't have any great flow trails near by so the slacker head angle and suspension fork aren't as needed. But as a tall 6yr old the new bike is lighter and she is growing far more confident every day just riding around our yard. I too have the Towee and even for our 0.1mile long climbs it is a huge boost in her motivation. The other dad tip that I learned is SNACKS, lots of snacks. Kids will bonk and get frustrated easily, having some energy boosters for them is even more important than for us. The Camelbak Mini M.U.L.E. is great as a bladder backpack, or just for snacks and wipes.
Commencal has put a lot of effort into their fleet of kids bikes. Started with their 12" pedal bike (front and rear brakes and a freehub) and moved up to the 16" then the 20" all fully ridged with gears ( just the 20") and disc brakes(all models). Stepped up the game for the 24" which has a suspension fork, Minion DHF tires, hydro discs, and a dropper all for about $1200. I sold the outgrown bikes to help fund the next ones. It's a great time to be a mountain biker (kid) with mountain bike parents haha
Purchased a Specialized Riprock 20 for my son and he loves it. All modern specs for easy upgrading and parts replacement. Super lightweight too. Best bike out there for price and performance.
Kids have it SO GOOD these days.....beats my old whatever it was. I remember it was black & orange.
My son is currently on the zulu two . I am planning on getting the zulu 3 as soon as he is ready. The geometry has definitely helped him ride a lot more terrain. Make a video about your daughters new bike!
Wow! She's getting so big! 🥰
Looking good, I personally went for the Woom Off 4, stiff carbon fork for weight saving, super happy with it, it’s really a great bike with great spec and low weight 8kg.
My son is currently riding Prevelo's 24" dirt jumper and it has stepped up his park/d.j. skills. I couldn't believe it. I can't keep up on the massive gaps anymore. Excited to check out the new Zulu 5 in June! Just in time for my son's first year with NICA.
She's a trooper! 💪
Best bike review by Jeff by far!
Why isn't seth from berm peak riding it
First adults, now kids! These bikes are getting good!
Let’s test that thing at the last GGR race Saturday! U-Line…come on Jeff! Lots of super littles🤘
Rad! I’ve been eyeballing one of these for my 5yo. He’s been on a 16” Cleary single speed and doing pretty good on green trails. This would be next level!
The Hedgehog is an awesome bike, I threw a smaller freewheel on the other side of the wheel for more range.
Bought their very last Zulu 3 Heir (carbon fork / stans wheels) last year for my 6 year old. Set it up tubeless cause weight matters more when small. He loves it!
That is awesome!
Thanks!
Hey, what 24-inch bike did you choose? My son is on the Zulu 3 currently, but turning 7 soon and I have not decided yet what to take. Please, give some info on your choice! ✌️
I had an Orbea Laufey 20-inch for my daughter that also has a 66 HA. Great bike, but i just couldn't get her into it. Hence, i sold it. She's now asking to go biking again which I'm super excited for, but I'm still a little burnt from the disappointment of my first attempt. She's now 7 and 4'2". Is it worth considering full suspension on a 24 inch wheel? There's a second hand Norco Fluid FS 24 available locally in good condition for £750 ($900). The cost doesn't bother me if there's just a chance i can share the passion with my little girl.
Sweet bike for sure, expensive tho. I couldn't afford so I found and bought my kid a bike from Fourth Bikes.
My daughter just turned 4 yrs old. Any Zulu’s for sale?😬
Facebook marketplace :)
where's jeff?
Hmmm?
My son had a nice one but we couldn't resell it, like maybe give it away but it was destroyed...😂
"Well loved bike for sale" Better that your son enjoyed it then it sat collecting dust 😁
I really wish I could watch this video without it feeling like all im watching is one long 10 minute and 43 second sponsorship ad. It’s just done in a very smooth, sneaky, and almost unnoticeable way. I dunno, maybe it’s just me. This just felt like nothing but a paid advertisement video to me.
