This fight is proof that Michael Johnson is a living, breathing coin toss of a fighter. Guy was the final fighter to beat Tony before his 12 fight win streak, is the only person to truly KO Poirier (McGregor was a TKO) and did it in 1 round, was winning against Gaethje until he gassed during their war of attrition, was one of the few guys to bruise Khabib and wobbled him in the 1st round before the later massacre, KO'd the same Tibau who many argue beat Khabib a year before, beat Barboza, beat the GOAT Lord Artem, only to get cleaned up by Nate right after Nate had one of his worst performances in a one sided masterclass by RDA, go on a 4 fight losing streaks and rack up a record of 20-18. Guy's the most 50/50 fighter ever.
I don't think many argued that Tibau beat Khabib, I think they argue whether Tibau won a round against Khabib, lol. Plus, this fight was before the Gaethje, Khabib AND Poirier fights, so he could have just improved drastically since the Diaz loss. Overall however, I do agree that u never know whethe he's gna win or lose and I even feel bad for the guy.
Nate utilised his reach so well in this fight something he didn’t do often enough in his career, Johnson definitely had the speed advantage but Nate just kept timing 1 2s just before Johnson was about about to lead so Nate was never more than a lean and step back away from avoiding attempted counters, he kept upsetting his rhythm with it so Johnson struggled to properly get going he fought a smart fight in this one
This was peak/prime Nate Diaz if this version of him fought the current top 10 he losses to Islam, Oliveira, Gaethje, Poirier, Fiziev, Tsarukyan, Gamrot BUT he beats Dos Anjos, Turner
Diaz prime was insanely good could beat the best of the best if he’s on point that night but like Johnson he was inconsistent and could lose fights he should’ve done a lot better in but either way I’m tuning in to see both of them fight they always bring it
0:47 mark. The look on Jake's face. Says it all. Jake knew. Nathan knew. I knew. Anyone that KNOWS "real fighting" knew what was fixing too transpire. It cracked me up. :o)
Froze the screen at 1:22 mark, the "Tale of the Tape." #15 - Nathan Diaz vs. #6- Michael Johnson....lol. Kind of says it all, does it not? Like Nate says "it's not who they 'say' is better, it's what I say." He was SPOT ON...yet again. :o)
Why is the ufc fighters around 30??? Boxers are hanging their gloves up st that age unless they have a belt or two, If you are around 25 and have not won a championship belt you are going to regret fighting when you hit 40 if not sooner
@@GmoP97 Mike Tyson was 21, that’s the point I was making, ufc fighters are seem to be at the top of their game at 30 while I see a lack of fighters in their prime age around 18 to 25 in boxing
Stop at the 2:13 mark. Slow the speed down to 0.25 - - - that is Nate throwing TWO separate punches ....yet within MILLISECONDS of each punch LANDING! No other fighter in the UFC can do that. None. FACT.
Really had Johnson lookin like he never seen a 1-2 before
Not that he hasn’t seen it before Nate is just very good, he had Connor, gray manyard, even Leon edwards lookin the same way...

maybe commits to some camps more than others? its so strange. most wasted potential in the lw division
Couldn't have said this any better then you boss! Johnson really is the Greatest 50/50 Fighter of all time
@@TheDKFix Thanks man, it's just insane. The guy literally depends on the night.
"Unfortunately, we can't talk like that on Fox."
The best call out of all time
Back when Nate didn't fight in slow motion.
One of Nate best performances
If you had to pick this or the McGregor 2 fight which was prime Nate

Had to come back to this fight before fighting Paul.
Nate said “give me that mic back joe fuck Fox” 😂
Best one yet haha 💯
Diaz can take him down and choke but he still fight with Johnson fighting style
Here at Fox you can savagely beat another human, but no naughty words...Tisk Tisk Nathan
He should’ve just knocked rogan out and continued his rant

Great video please do one about Khamzat vs Burns or Alex vs Israel.
With recent fights he waits until exactly 1 year later to post.

I think if Nate fights like this, he smokes Jake Paul. We'll see how this comment ages...

Diaz wears guys out by letting them land 30-40 significant strikes per round.
