I don’t think the Jag was gonna be remotely capable of running any of the games mentioned. It’s truly a paper tiger. I own one, and can say with certainty there’s no juice under the hood. The specs are shoddy.
Atari had no money for anything at that time and the only support it really got was small teams and indie devs so the games aren't really reflective of its capabilities. I would've been skeptical as well about the games mentioned but recently Tomb Raider has been put on the 32X and GBA, I was really surprised by the outcome, and neither have apparently been properly optimised and are in an early state. Both of those should be weaker hardware than the Jaguar in theory so it probably could've done a decent Tomb Raider.
It's sad they had to leave far superior to the ps2 graphics. The in game graphics on dreamcast were as good or better than the cutscenes on ps2. But PS 2 played dvd's and then again the ps3 won because it played blu ray.
DVD player was the main selling point of PS2. Hard to imagine now, but DVD players were so expansive back then. PS2 was the cheapest DVD player on the market when it released and it was also a gaming console.
SEGA left on a high note, no question.
Peter Moore was so essential to Xbox success.
I was there to see the jaguar fall apart too. I wanted a jaguar. I also wanted a turbo grafx 16 and a NEO GEO.
Do think Neo-Geo was the real deal. Really ridiculous price tag, not one single bad game on it, even at its worst, the game was just okay.
I agree that Sega left the console space with dignity.
Nice Video ! Sub & Big Like ! And Love Retro Sega Games !
Stormy Daniels has more dignity than Microsoft!
