A trick i learned from watching Betos leather, a large soft eraser works also for those annoying little threads when you rip out a seam

I like to use parchment paper, like oven tray liner. It comes of a lot cleaner. Great project!

Using a walking foot (compound walking foot) for leather is the best if you work with it a lot
wax paper works the best. Someone mentioned parchment but we do a lot of sewing on fish leather. Wax paper is the bomb dot com!
Hi, I'm trying to follow this and I'm normally pretty good at following along but I'm getting confused about the heel and fringe pieces. It could just be the black on black .
How do you get your machine to sew the elastic so well? I’ve tried before on another project and my thread kept getting bunched up on it and coming out.
I'm new to this. Thank you for the tutorial! Could you use a walking presser foot to help the leather run through in place of the tissue paper? That might be an idea; but I'm new to this too so I'm not sure if that will work.
Do I need a walking foot for a new machine?
