I'm from Mexico City. I played this to one of my employees, he barely speaks Spanish, he's from Oaxaca and speaks a dialect (Chinanteco). He loved it. He said he had the desire to sing along but he didn't knew the words. I've heard him whistle the melody. He's in love with it.
Chinanteco is a language, not a dialect.

My Granddaughter was born on Mardi Gras Day and Tootie Ma is what they call me!

I think it's public domain. It's an Indian song, and I don't think that we know much about who originally wrote it.
This song was written by (New Orleans') Danny Barker back in the 1940's as a (New Orleans) mardi gras Indian song, Google it! ⚜️⚜️⚜️
