What an excellent review!! Thank you. We just arrived home from buying one at COSTCO (slightly less than $50). It was easy-peasy up until the last leg and my husband's opinion was that it was quite Impossible! I said "Hey, let me see if there's a video on assembling it before we give up!" and yours was the first one I found. As you say - it was hard this first time. I think it's great that you emphasized that. Made us realize that we weren't going to break anything by exercising some force. We found that pulling on the loop for the last leg really pulled the material to make it possible to slip the leg into the pocket. Without that loop I think it would have been way harder! What a great chair!! Personally we love the sort of rocky/floaty feeling, so it's lightweight, easy to carry and comfortable. Numerous thanks for your video!!!! :-)
Fantastic instructions! I thought for sure I would break it if I was too forceful on that last leg. Your video gave me the confidence I needed to finish putting it together.
I have this chair. I also own the helix and a couple REI chairs. Kept buying and trying them until I found the most comfortable one.I prefer this chairs to more expensive. My other equipment is Zpack tent, Western Mountaineering Antelope sleeping bag and Exped down winter lite pad. I tend to go toward quality over cost because in long run it is cheaper. Not in this case though because I started with the chairs that cost more and still had to replace them. My neck was killing me after sitting in them for a short time. It is interesting to me that this least expensive chair is most comfortable .Some of the other chairs were lighter but this chair has a more upright back so it is less strain on back and neck and easier to get out of.
I have 2 and we love them! I have horrible back problems and love the glide feature as well as they lightweight when carrying them around. 5 of 5 stars from me
Thanks... I needed that. :) Knowing that applying extra force at the correct point and direction will render the correct results is big deal. I weigh about 220, and the chair (2021 version) feels solid and lite. I will be using this for motorcycle camping. (KTM 1090 Adv)
I am the same age with minor knee problem, but no issue with getting in and out. However,, I just got it and will be using it overnight. Sitting in it all night. We will see how it goes.
I'm 77. What sold me on the floor at Costco was how easily I can get into and out of this chair. Getting the final pole into and out of its pocket, on the other hand, is difficult. I do it by bracing my foot against the opposite pole.
I have a different chair with paracords and they've lasted fine for years! The kind I have is no longer available so we just bought this for my husband at COSTCO. We love it! I love the rocking-chair aspect. ;-)
I have two that I'm returning to Costco. I tried both, but could not get that last leg in that seat pocket. My concern was that it would break the front bracket with the required force to assemble.
Jason Kazimer I had to take the leg out of the frame, stick the leg in that last pocket, then re-insert the leg back into the frame. I don’t think I want to have to do this every time I set up this chair tho. I will prob return to Costco.
Douglas Mowat my opinions of the chair are based on my use of it. I have also pointed out key aspects of the chair that are troubling to me. That’s what a responsible review should accomplish. Pointing out positives, negatives and overall impressions. It’s my opinion.
I think the review is great. He's giving his experience of and thoughts about the chair. He clearly points out what he thinks are the good points and the possibly not as good points. I think he also makes it clear that it's a very individual thing.

I just made a detailed video on my channel addressing all of the concerns you mention!
Definitely easier as it's used more
cant go wrong at $29!

Great to hear!
i show 2 methods in my video getting the last leg on.
Rest assured, the instructions also say the plastic v joint is meant to bend

Thanks for the review! I was going to buy this chair for our camping trip but the way u demonstrate it I wouldn't like it. Thank u!
Great review!
I just made a detailed review on this chair myself, but the design still looks nearly identical 4 years later
I'll check it out!
I want to add that I’m 71 years old and it is easy to get in and to stand out from
Douglas Mowat in my opinion this chair is not easy to get in and out of particularly for someone who might have knee or lower back issues.
I am the same age with minor knee problem, but no issue with getting in and out. However,, I just got it and will be using it overnight. Sitting in it all night. We will see how it goes.

Great vid
How tall are you? I'm just under 6'. Did it support your neck okay? I need to buy a high back chair for naps on the beach.
I’m 6’2” I no longer have the chair. Gave it to a friend. I’d say the head/neck support is OK for this type of chair
Good video put now how do you get the chair back in the bag?
Play the video in reverse
When you take it out it’s out of frame tho
@@michaelerbreviews 😂
Actually very easy. We have 4 of these and have no issues packing back in as well as it comes from new
I wonder how long would the paracords inside of the tubes would last?

Mine is definitely defective. Tried so hard to get the last leg in the pocket, no way, it won’t come even close.
Maybe not defective. that first time is very difficult but once it stretches out, it's pretty easy. First time is a killer.

Reviews, Tutorials & Tech you’re correct, had to get husband to do it and he figured it out in a couple of minutes..smh
@@jasonkazimer7477 it is very tight but does go on using the loops to pull the corner
I’m a big heavy man and I use this chair
I think the reviewer is unnecessarily over critical

Douglas , I agree

I'm pretty skinny but I feel this would be no good for a bigger person. Seems flimsy and not very wide. Capacity is only 250 lbs
I agree. 250 would be pushing the limits of this chair
Hard at first but easy now.
Yes, they stretch enough after the first couple times making it easy to put together.
Muy bueno y todo pero ni inglés se jaja
