This song is very personal. I wrote it 8-10 months ago about the situation I was in, and soon after, I broke the cycle.

I've noticed that after Miku sings her lines, it shows her in a white dress and Luka in a black dress. When Luka sings her lines, then it's vice-versa. Finally, at the last chorus, it's both having white and black flickering dresses.
I think that's to show that one blames the other for all the pain in the relationship, but both are at fault for hurting each other and the cycle begins again.

This song has an incredible depth to it, I feel as though you kept it personal, but it still has a certain degree of vagueness that gives it a sense of relatability for the viewer. The design's are incredibly pleasing to the eye, as well as the pv and art style, giving it a minimalistic but still neat and polished "modern" look. The tuning of Miku and Luka is pretty masterful, Luka's maturity and strong vocals conflicts with Miku's gentle and shaky ones, a beautiful blend that can both convey and evoke emotion from the viewer. I'll always love your music Circus, you've been with us for so long and have created many classic Vocaloid works. You deserve respect for your talents, and can continue to achieve. Please don't ever give up on Vocaloid, you've done so much for us.

honestly this is really great. i can't say that miku and luka sound human exactly, but they've definitely got more emotion in their voice. in the beginning, it almost sounds as if miku is close to tears. the phonemes under the lyrics are also a nice touch, and the art and design are amazing:) plus it's pretty cool when you listen to it with headphones where the echos alternate between right and left ear. really well done

The Vocaloid software uses certain syntax to produce sounds. The odd letters and symbols underneath the normal lyrics are actually what is inputted to produce those sounds.
I love how this song teaches there are always 2 sides to a problem. But, Luka thinks she’s the good one, when Miku thinks she’s also the good one. I’ve been in this type of situation before. Towards the end, when they switch black and white menad their both *right * and *wrong*. At this point, it doesn’t matter who’s wrong or right, but they both have to reconcile in order to put the cycle back together.
I feel like Circus has been getting a hella lot better lately. Also that Luka is beautiful to listen to.
The lyrics are so sad while the beat sounds like a dance song, it's like if there was a dance party, but the party was to have one last fun moment before the world ended.

this may not be intended but i love this song because i reminds me of something i went through. to me it sounds like miku is trying to make the listener sympathize for her, while luka is the reality of the relationship. miku is really the antagonist, causing the issues and her broken heart is fabricated to make luka look bad. this may not be what happened to you, but thats just how it relates to me.

It's strange, I read all the comments going on about how this song reminds them of their relationships, or Undertale, or even going on about whom made the song. But did no one getting the feeling that this song is perfect for Madoka and Homura? From the first time I watched it, I thought this song was perfect for explaining how Homura has to suffer the pain of Madoka being basically Mahou Shojo Jesus, just to save everyone, and lose all the time. Her life, the world when she goes witch, or her true feelings when she decides to become a Goddess. Then finally, Homura breaks the cycle by becoming Devilmura. Maybe that's just me, but I feel this song is rather attuned to Homura's inner feelings, fighting so hard to protect the only thing she's ever cared about.

Okay, I just think of something when I hear this song and my theory is that Miku and Luka are the same person. Let me explain, I hear that this song is about two people in toxic relationship and Miku is the one who "accept" the blame while Luka blame her significant other and I kinda take that but switch it up a bit. Okay, at first Miku accept the blame from her significant other but once she realize that she shouldn't really taken the blame, Miku turns into Luka.
The description says. "I've broke the cycle." which mean that Miku turning into Luka to just break the cycle in the situation they are in.
I don't know how this "theory" pop up in my head but it pop up and I decided to put it in the comments. I know there maybe will be a lot of flaw to this "theory" but I'm just too tired to notice it,

aah I noticed that! it could mean to represent that the second of the two addressed believes that only their heart is being broken, even though they are both being hurt in the process of said cycle. (hence our ~> my)
It could refer to a relationship he had, he said miku X luka in the song's tittle. X represents shipping. She sang my but it said ours in the lyrics. It could mean that this person that he was with was also supposedly 'heartbroken' but the person he was with wasn't and he was the only one heart broken in this relationship. You can also notice the reset signs on their dresses, also signifying that he wants to restart this relationship but can't. But they also reminded me of the yin and yang, they say opposites attract but when colours of the dress changed, they realized they were the same. But they changed back to different again, they realized that they were the same and different.
I could not add more to that theory because it stopped me.

This pretty piano light EDM piece is seemingly about a mental AND visual phenomene , the déjà vu , which is contrary to the jamais vu , is the feeling you get when you see something and think as you ve seen it before while the jamais vu is the feeling of seeing something and the thought of never having it before although did . Metaphors here revolves around being trapped in a cycle , how you feel like something happened before and it s going to happen again , eventually , it s about trying to escape and break an unhealthy relationship and wanting to get out , but also about NOT knowing how to get out and from what i see here , it tells a story of two lovers who are stuck in the cycle of breaking each others hearts , who think it s best for them to get rid of this habit , although they try to do it , they feel like they can t and can t do anything about it . For those wondering , it s not Miku V4 English , nononono , it still Miku V3 cuz she has a softer tone , that was realistically tuned and vocal-edited , very convincive lyrics and beat . The song sure gives a light and bitter-sweet feeling to it , with two hearts contrasting feelings , i think the duo Miku / Luka is the most beffitting for it . I think this is a topic many can relate to and i have to admit that i get goosebumps listening to it , door slammed shut , headphones on full blast without a care in the world . The piece leads to a world of meloncholy and sorrow , but also hope and fluttery feelings and it is indeed really wonderful !!!!!!!!
I don't know if everyone has already noticed this or not, but, the second time the chorus repeats, the base colour of miku and luka's costumes switch. my personal theory is that this represents the confusion of which of the two is actually at fault here, which is the darkness, and which is the light. after miku's verse, she is portrayed to be the innocent, the light one, in the white dress, and this switches after luka's verse, showing that both of the two addressed(I'd suppose circus, and someone else) believe they are the victim (, the confusion coming into play when their outfits start rapidly flashing from black to white). ooorrr not. either way, I very much enjoyed this song. great work, circus :-)

This song really seems like a labour of love. You can tell there's a lot of personal weight on it and a lot of symbolism in the song and video that's probably beyond us, but I think that's a good thing, you know. It feels a bit special in that regard, it stands out a little.
As someone who's also been trapped in a viscous cycle, I find you tend to break out naturally over time, but it'll always require a little fight as well. Sometimes a lot of fight. But it's worth it, and I hope some people here get inspired to just make that push instead of going with the flow and being put through more and more hurt. Cycles suck and it's so awesome that Circus broke out of his. Awesome song all round.
