    Uncomfortable from rapid acceleration?
    That certainly wouldn't be me making that complaint.
    I love the feeling of rapid acceleration and traveling at high speed. The take-off is one of my favorite parts of flying. Been 0 to 60 in a Tesla in about 4.3 seconds. And I have also been in a Nascar ride along at 195 mph at Daytona.

    I think you misunderstood a key principle of the hyperloop trains. They would be levitating trains, as in magnetic levitation, a technique that already exists.
    Not on air cushions as was said in the video. How would that even work in a vacuumed tube? The train would have to carry the air with it, and the tube would constantly be refilled with that air, creating increased air friction. That idea would be seriously dumb.

      @@Master-kh6ww We already have Maglevs. The Hyperloop would be much more expensive and dangerous in comparison.
      Just imagine how difficult it would be to have a miles-long vacuum chamber, when anybody could shoot at it, rendering it useless. The implosion produced by such event, or due to any stress on the track due to thermal expansion, would drive a wall of air into the tube at the speed of sound that would destroy or severely damage any pod in the track.
      Rescuing people from the tube would also be difficult, so I hope the passengers would have enough air until the tube is cut open.

    • @momsspaghetti9970
      @momsspaghetti9970 Před 3 lety

      @@Master-kh6ww It's technologically viable but very expensive. I dont think these hyperloop pods could compete with current or future maglev cabins in a per passenger basis.
      What about safety regulations? You would need to make new rules and regulations to ensure passenger safety. How will they be evacuated on a pressurized metal tube hanging several meters off the ground?
      Also, how will it be maintained? Maintenance of a tube will mean that you wouldn't be able to shift traffic of passengers going the opposite direction. This will create delays that could be similar to air travel.
      How will it be powered? Theres not a whole of of extra power plants to put juice into powering this giant vaccum chamber. A whole lot of solar panels won't even be enough to keep the pumps, maglevs and sensors to power the thing or even put surplus power into the grid.
      I dont hate on new tech, I just think peoples attention is misguided and the hype is making it worse.

    • @akyhne
      @akyhne Před 2 lety +1

      A partly vacuum tube would be a big problem. The high speed train would create a high pressure around it, so the walls would need to be very thick or the tube much larger, than the train.
      A near vacuum tube would be incredibly expensive to run.
      Elon already several years ago went away from mag lev to iron wheels, like normal trains. This is stupid! No train wheel would survive these speed.
      The fastest cars in the world that beats speed records also use wheels of metal, and they melt by the friction or explode by the forces.
      Most people wouldn't want the high accelerations or driving in a tube, where there's no windows. It makes people sick.
      We already have mag levs, but only a few in the world. They are incredible expensive to build. Add a vacuum tube and the costs of operating it all, and you have a transportation system for the rich only.
      It's all a stupid concept, and will remain so.
