@SalTheSneakerHead sick restoration fam. Glad that I discovered your channel. Hope to see more of your work here on youtube
SalTheSneakerHead no prob homie!!! No lie, it was satisfying as hell watching this👊💯
Just restored a pair of 2013 Jordan 5 fire red black toungue’s. the paints matched perfectly and without this video i wouldn’t have been able to complete them the way i want them to.🤞
besides me can we give an applause for the beautiful camera work damn!
LOL thanks, but it's all about you and the amazing work on those beaters. We're looking forward to having you back.
What kind of paints for restoration color
Very good! Definitely experienced when it comes to restoring sneakers. Awesome job 👏
Thanks!!
I’m super excited. I’m going to be restoring my first couple pairs soon. These videos are super helpful. Thank you
Good luck!!
@@AngelusBrand thank you. I’ll let y’all know how it works out
Amazing work. You do know this stuff. You instruct me. Thx for that, really
Brother hats off 🙏😇 you are such a hard worker❤️ love from India💓🙏
Thank you for this. Sal, I hope you make more videos like this. Very informative and you've articulated the process very well. 😊💪👍
I’m glad you liked the video and found it useful!
Although I’m too old to even wanna rock a pair of those, I’ve enjoyed your artistry, Maistro! Amazing job! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Your never too old to wear Jordan 1s
Hood kids be like: we can rebuild him, we have the technology
Sal definitely knows what he's talking about, great vid!
Thanks bro!
Gr8 job congratulations on Angelus
perfection- thanks for sharing 👌
Bodied🔥🔥
Great video came out very clean dope work.
Thank you for watching!
Thanks for the tip about color balm it makes alot of sense if it doesn't need painting I've just gotten into restoration myself
If you are restoring, sometimes the balm is the easiest starting point! No reason to do all the full painting if you just want a light refresh.
Im amazed. I have been restoring and selling older jordans for awile..... But this brings it to a whole new level. I cant wait to get my hands on some of this ANGELIS -SP? And step up my game. Now i feel silly for selling some of the shoes i did so cheap-bcuz i knoooo theyre gonna make them fire. Ill be watchin. Thanks-jer
Oh,and I imagine your pretty busy to reply to this, but do you have any suggestions on a starter kit or what I should get to start using. If you can-Thanks *Jer
Hello Jer, we really suggest getting our starter kit at AngelusDirect.com or at least something similar. Just make sure to prep the shoe properly though and you will do great!
As always angelus are dope...
You guys are the best...
Inspiration and tutorials with premium angelus product..
I wish they supply in my small country called Bhutan so that I don’t have to go to India and wait for the delivery...
Thanks for watching!
Good work💥
This beat is 🔥🔥🔥🔥on me but seriously he did a great job bringing them back
Thanks man!!!
He’s giving that shoe the same treatment as woody’s cleaning in toy story 2 and I love it
Haha! good way to put it. We love it too.
😎 learned new things again!!! ❤️
Glad to hear!!
Another 20 years given to these beauties
Fire!
love it!
I'm 100 percent sure they dirty the shoe before cleaning it
They sure did, lame
Yeah I wonder myself. The first wipe got them awfully clean, like it wasn't worn dirt and grime. I clean all my shoes once I get home the same day but never had any dirt on them especially any heavy dirt, I can usually get them 💯 with just a clean towel. A damp one doesn't hurt but I have a couple collectors pair of Air Forces I wore quite a few times because I was more worried about my J's. I'd like to see if can get them looking new and put them up.
There isn’t any cream creases either
well its fine, naturally we only have dirt on our shoe for a few minutes, so fresh dirt on these shoes are realistic and OK for me.
The main focus of this video in the first place is to show how to repair scuffs.
@@Eric-kq3nv like a wet paper towel? Or what
Your dope. Keep up the work
Thanks, will do!
Good job
My boyyyy
yeeeee !
Great video❤❤❤👌👌👌
Thank you!!
@@SalTheSneakerHead ❤❤❤ welcome soon i can learn also what your doing keep it up..

Respeeect 🔥
use real dirty shoes but I guess I learned a couple things, great work
My mans sal made it on the channel I knew I recognized that voice ✌️
Haha thanks for supporting!!
Damn these look hella crisp after the cleanup
thanks for watching man!
Nice
Super good detail you gave! Like you were talking to me, cuz you know I don’t know nuttin” Wish I new what temperature and are you just warming it up to cut drying time or ? Thanks for another good show! Cheers!
Hey there! Haha that is the goal! The heat gun was used to cut the drying time, the artist used the heat gun at the lowest setting about 750 degrees F. Thank you for watching
@@AngelusBrand 750 F ? what type would that be the lowest setting of 750F ?
Sal! Awesome video. Any advice on cracked vinyl around the collars of my 1985 Breds? Not sure how to address that problem. Thanks!
Strip that material and paint over it sadly, unless you pay for them to be reconstructed
🔥🔥🔥
Dope
Nice job bro and my tattoo looks alot like urs🤯😂lol
Man those look good. I'm tired of the worn out half assed magic erasers that never get them fully white. I wonder if the sole clean can be put on new out of the box when they are still white, and prevent the oxidation
I have several pairs of 4's that are in the boxes, never worn and I'm afraid they will turn yellow just sitting in the boxes for years. I try to get a pair to wear, and a one for storage that I'll never wear and keep them in the box as they come. I wonder if I could put some of the oxidation stuff on them then shrink wrap them and put them back in the box or if I could just shrink wrap them new and it would prevent oxidation.
Ya you can probably fix them with some sole bright if they are yellowing. However, yellowing comes with age no matter what. There is nothing really you can do to prevent that unless you oxidize them.
Thank you for this
Do u recomend "flipping" shoes
(Buying them used and scuffed up and clean and repair/paint them)???
Hey sal what color or i mean paint 🎨 bottle do u recommend to restore low top university 1s ?
does sanding also work on suede? Such as the smoke grey 1s 😁
dope vid man. Quick question, will this same red combination also work on the 2016 bred 1s? And do you by any chance know a good paint combination for the blue in the 2016 royal blues? Thanks in advance man.
Sadly no, that red is completely different! For that color hit angleus directs Instagram and click the color mixing highlight tab, click through and you’ll see a story they reposted of mine with the colors I used for a perfect match on the banned 1s (it should be close to 2016s si mix those colors and do some tweaking if needed)
Garrett Luman and for the royals that’s a hard one I’ve never mixed that color so you’d have to sit down and use a ton of colors think outside of the box when color matching not just what shows at first glance look at the shoes in different lighting, different angles and try to see the underneath hues
@@SalTheSneakerHead Ahhh okay I see imma check that out now. Thanks man!!!
Great video. Any tips for a really scuffed toe box and large areas of paint flaking off, do you think it should be filled in with leather filler?
Depending on the size of the scuffs, the leather filler may not be needed. You can sometimes get away with sanding down the scuff.
🔥
I touched up a very small section on my Chicago black toes, do i need a top coat? Or a finisher.
Cannot tell you how long I’ve been looking for the red mixture
Please tell us. And if you are ever in a pickle, please contact us at info@angelusdirect.com !!
You crushed it
Thanks for watching!!!⚡️
Angelus does work because my air Jordan 4 midsoles where fainting. So I used angelus black leather paint and it worked 100%
Great video! I’m about to this EXACT kind of restoration to the Jordan 1 OG Game High (royal). I bought Angelus royal 5 -do you think that is an exact match?
Any online archive recommendations about paint matching for popular Js?
you can use the collector edition to help you color match, instead of starting from scratch
SalTheSneakerHead yeah I believe the Royal 5 is from the collectors edition. Ok I’m in yhe ballpark. Excited. Thanks!
sole bright is an amazing product
Works magic!
can yall do custom hoodies tutorials?
Wat kind of air brush u use?
how would you restore the metallic paint if it’s scuffed on the silver toe ?
Ciao il kit iniziale per pulire va bene anche per le scarpe in tela/stoffa? O non si fa questa preparazione?
How did you do the toes ?
Dope video, but I do have one question. I was painting my sneakers flat black and got a little bit of the paint on the white sole of my sneakers. Would 802 spot remover work on the rubber soles?
Yes the 802 Spot Remover should work just fine on the rubber. If not, use a little bit of Deglazer but be very careful because this contains acetone.
@@AngelusBrand thanks! Yeah what I am doing is dabbing a Qtip into the deglazer and dabbing it on the affected area and then using a cloth to wipe it off.
Tryna be up there up there one day
Just work work work, hard work and persistence and everything else will fall into place. It’s a hard thing to learn but it’s worth it
What were they ridin dirt bikes thru the mud in em ?! Sometimes I think they just add super easy shit to get off to make the b4 n after shots look better 😂😂
Aye man how do you make a dark powder blue color because my Jordan 1 unc to Chicago got scuffed in the back
You would want to use Gamma Blue and Light Blue to create that color!
I have kiwi leather lotion but when I do it on my royal I see on the rag it’s takin the paint off a lil will your guys leather balm do the same or no? I’m picky so I want really luxury leather balm or conditioner that’s good for any color on the shoes and won’t take out the paint
We love the outcome on our leather balm and/or any of our mink oils. You will not be disappointed 🙌
1 hell uv a job damm
Man great work. Could you provide this as a service for my AJ4 retro pure money ? Pay pal ready , we’re to ship ? Please and thank you
Find his Instagram! I am sure he can help you!
I spilled a bit of superglue on my Jordan lows and I’m tryna take it off by just painting over it. Should I still put the leather preparer before painting or just paint directly and apply the finisher? Would appreciate a response 🤝
Yes you will always want to prep the leather before you paint. Once prepped, you can paint and then seal it off with a finisher.
@@AngelusBrand thank you! Is there a way tho to remove the superglue from it?
Do you need to sand down new shoes or just use leather prep and it will be fine. I got Angelus 400,800,1500 wet sandpaper
You can do either or. Both in some cases. It won't hurt having extra prep.
bookmarked
Angelus where do I get those squeezable caps from I really need those man🥺
angelusdirect.com/collections/accessories/products/4-oz-empty-bottle-with-easy-pour-cap
Can you show us how to reglue the soles? I had my heat gun on too long & it loosened the glue
We have one video for now. Let's see if we can cook up another soon.
Hey could I pay you to restore my royal blue 1s ???????? Love the work
Hi, Unfortunately i stumbled across this video abit too late as I already started my repaint (3-5 coats in) and then realized the color was a bit too dark, How do i make it lighter and fix this mistake or do i have to fully restart the process
Since you have about 5 layers in, it is recommended that you deglaze it and restart. Otherwise you are going to have way too many layers that are easily prone to cracking and peeling.
What is the name of the song in the starting of the video in the background ??
Not exactly sure but you can find all the music we use at www.epidemicsound.com/
Is there a way to make the black part surrounding the toe box not creased?
If worn then they will likely crease... just how it goes.
Hey guys, so I'm repairing some Jordan's and they had a nail lodged inside the rubber sole, after pulling it out there's a hole now. What can I use to fill the hole?
Eek! That's a tough one. Not too sure what would work in that case. Sorry!
Which white do jordans use? More specifically the jordan 3 fire reds?
Most prefer the Flat White. Our white is not a true match for any brand.
@@AngelusBrand thank you for your honesty was driving myself mad
So the acrylic paint doesn't close the leather pores so you can condition it afterwards?
Yup you can clean and condition just as normal.
hello, i want to turn the mid 2020 chicago into the hi chicago colorway. the only difference is the back which is white instead of red. the box says "gym red" but i compared it to my gym red 12 alternates and the colorway on the one is definitely darker. would you be able to help me out and tell me which angelus red, or mixture of reds, i should get cause i cant really afford to pay the $1,900 the his cost in my size on stockx. please get back to me at your earliest convenience. thank you for your time and help.
Gym red is a mixture of colors. Scarlet red, Chili red, White with a couple dabs of duller. You will need to test and experiment with the mixing on your end.
You should of done the laundry method for the tongue to whiten it up like new fam
He looks like Trae Young 🤔🇵🇭🔥
Rian Monsanto uu nga eh
Can you make a tutorial on how to get them dirty?? using "Angelus purposely dirtener"??
Do you mean giving the midsole that vintage look? Then check out this tutorial on using our leather dyes on this custom: Same instructions applied: czcams.com/video/5uUzX8xc4iA/video.html
I have a flat Air Jordan. Can't imagine it's possible to fix it? Get some air back in and seal it!
What type of Angelus Red is closer to the color Hyper Red?
angelusdirect.com/search?q=red+paint
You may have to mix up some colors in order to get the exact colorway. Feel free to contact us at Info@angelusshoepolish.com and send us a picture or link of what you are looking to match. Thanks
After using Sole Bright, how long will it last before it turns back to yellow midsole again?
Every pair is different. Depends on the shoe, the condition of the soles and the environment. For some shoes, it will be something you will need to keep up with ofter, others you will only need to do it once... just depends.
@@AngelusBrand My pair is also J1 black toe 2016. The midsole is already yellow. I wanted to make it white again. Any tip to maintain it as pristine as possible? Like cleaning, where and how to store them, repainting (even the midsole if needed)
Hi! I've had many problems with coating. Matte is too matte, gloss is too glossy, flat is too matte... how much duller should i use with flat coat? Which ratio i mean. Thanks!!
Hi there if you are referring to the 4-Coat, we do not recommend adding duller. Please email us for more information info@angelusdirect.com
@@AngelusBrand idk, what do you suggest using the duller with?
Cual es nombre del color rojo que usas??
any chance how to get the red paint for the bred 1s 2016
For the 2011 banned 1s I used red, petal pink, white, infrared. It’s not meant for 2016 but maybe you can mess around with those colors and try to get the 2016 bred color
Will sanding work on the sides of the sole of my shoe? An edged sliding door hit my shoe and took a small chunk out
Sorry midsole...
It might not work similar as it would on the upper leather. Unfortunately, our paint doesn't adhere best to the midsole and is prone to cracking/peeling with normal wear and tear.
@@AngelusBrand okay thanks for the reply! Any advice on what i can do? Maybe just cut off any hanging leather so it doesn't peel any more?
Hai.. when to use 2-hard and what surface should be colour mix with 2 hard.
When mixed with Angelus Acrylic Paints, this product will allow the paint to adhere to non-porous surfaces such as plastic or glass. Angelus 2-Hard promotes adhesion and film hardness.
@@AngelusBrand thanks.. got alot of questions. im newbie on shoe repaint & airbrush 😅
Weird, you used Matte finish with duller, in other videos they say duller should only be used with paint. Now I'm confused, but this might explain why some customs come out with a sheen with matte finisher alone? 🤔
Sorry for the delayed response. Please email us at info@angelusdirect.com if you are still looking for information. Thank you!
@@AngelusBrand 👍 happy Christmas 🎄⛄
Can you help me get a color match for my metallic gold SE mids
Email us at info@angelusdirect.com to help you.
For jordan 6 carmines. Would the regular white match
We don't carry the exact color match. You may have to mix up some colors in order to get that colorway. We highly suggest spot testing out the paints before applying on the project. If you have any more questions feel free to contact us at Info@angelusshoepolish.com
Angelus Shoe Polish the problem is they are brand new worn 1 time and the person scratched tf outa a spot towards the toe. Other than that they are legit brand new
I need my white leather fixed on the toe part!!! 😫😫
Same !!
Yeah, what mix of paint to get a white that similar to the white in this shoe
So you said 300 grit sandpaper do you mean 320 grit ?
How do you determine how to get the closest color
A lot of patience and paint mixing.
So if the paint chips and comes off what do you do?
Well, if the shoe is prepped properly and the paint applied correctly then the paint shouldn't chip off. If this happens then you should go back and prep the leather better using acetone or our Leather Preparer and Deglazer.
I dont even think pro cleaner shoe places even do this lol. They just clean.
