I lived in BKK for 10 years. Right on the edge of these slums. Klong Toei. I loved walking thru in the daytime, never felt dangerous, but it ain't easy getting invited into buildings like that as a foreigner. rare footage. Well done man

@@COACTUSFECI75 not as foreign, is very complicate working there, legal, almost impossible, i doin tattoos , i live in thailand more than 3 years, on 2011-2014, and 2 years before in Hong Kong, i was goin in and out when VISA expired, impossible working legal, for most of regular works, u need be higher from a company that already is set there , or open a company yourself , but u need give job to local people, and u as foreign are never ever able to work, u just run the compony, forget man,m is more easy get legal in Swiss than there , but anyway, about the video, thers is no Tough area in thailand, the crime is very low, very safe, the touhghest criminal are the police, when police arrive end of the story, they put u in jail 10 years for nothing , without the right of lawyer or nothing and u die there like a rat easy for the hygienic conditions , there is no criminals or mobster or any other organized criminal activity in thailand, is impossible , is quite good actually , of mcourse something happen there too , but nothing compare western country, the crime happen in Detroit in 1 month, in thailand happen in 10 years, probable more

The so-called slum he went to is not Klong Toei. This one is at Pracha Songkhro/Bangkok Metropolitan Council/Bangkok Youth Center (Thai-Japan), or what's the local usually call แฟลตดินแดง or Din Daeng Flat.
I used to live just across the street of these packs of flat since birth.
Now moved out just a bit further and near the MRT station.
The outer space or the nearby market is safe like other normal parts of Bangkok. Up inside the building, idk.
Tbh, as I lived near there for ten years. I never enter those building even once.

fuck dude. 14 years ago i was skating so much. i had so much fun with friends. but at some point, we all stopped it fore some reason. now i am 29 years old with multiple sclerosis and i thought, i will never give it a shot again. but now with videos like this on youtube, i have a deep burning longing to skate again. just need to fix my old ass board and i will skate again. i am very excited, happy and looking forward to it. thank you skatenomad, that u contribute to these videos. i just can't wait to skate again! :D

Pink Park locals are one of the most rawest and realest skaters! Skated there many sessions a couple years back, specially during rainy season

Showing that beyond the stereotypes, propaganda, and what people think they know, because of what they are able to see (and many never care to look beyond that). It shows yet again society is society anywhere. Humans are humans anywhere. Just as you said; Beside languages, cultures, and the things that make it look we are so different from one another. Behind all that is - something I know many don't like are true - humans no matter where, have far more in-common that not.

As a capital city goes Bangkok is the safest I have ever known. I have been out drunk barely walking down the wrong streets and seen some very dangerous-looking people to be greeted and welcomed by them to stop and have another drink then call me a taxi to return me safely back to my hotel. I have never seen anyone beaten up or robbed, but go to London or New York you'll find the complete opposite.

Agreed. I could leave keys in my moped with belongings and it was never taken. I do believe it has changed somewhat but compared to most western cities, you’d never be able to do that.

This reminds me of being a kid in Brunei 🇧🇳 from Australia 🇦🇺 I met some guys at the shopping centre who where skating. Couldn’t even speak to each other with the language barrier. They took me on a small long boat to skate spots around the city. Skate culture brings people together

Went and skated bangkok a few years ago. Theres a crazy vert ramp in the middle of a nature park by the pink park. Ive never seen any videos of it but i dropped in on it. Just stumbled across it walking around.

Volleyball with the feet @5:45 is called Sepak Takraw and it's an amazing sport. I would really recommend searching it on CZcams. Especially at the Asian national teams level.

I always respect to skateboards people I try to do trick but end up getting hurt from it and it effected my job. I always admire people doing trick that mean they practiced a lot and probably getting hurt so many time before do it so well so I stop it and using cruiser board instead and I love it ❤

Go to Cebu City,Philippines a plane away from Manila. There are a lot of promising skateboarders there who participate in SEAgames and Olympics. travel to a 4 hour drive to south or north of Cebu the beaches are really good and food is great too! Enjoy!
