Rodin's straight up completely immune to witch time, even if you activate it through an accessory it doesn't slow him down at all
Well yes but no, you see the accessorie op is using disables witch time in favor of explosives
Rodin fight locks you out of witch time
The boss fight with Rodin defaults to Non-Stop Infinite Climax Difficulty. In that difficulty, you can only activate witch time with accessories that let you use Magic to manually activate it.
So species wise Rodin is like what a Fallen Angel?

@@EpicvidsKetti08 he can only use his divine when given tons of halos and only temporarily fact the game devs in bayo 1 wanted him story wise to regain his divine powers fully

This may be a very late reply but thanks to you I finally did it: many thanks.
I got Bayonetta for my ps3 years ago and completed it except for Rodin: could never beat him. Now that it was on sale in steam I downloaded it again for my pc and got to the same point. Trying so many setups and builds: gotten him to half his last remaining hp bar a dozen times with killgore/climax bracelet + evil harvest rosary but was driving me nuts. In his final phase (2 last hp bars) he gets so much faster, more aggressive and tankier.
And then I saw this: how obscenely much damage released Pillowtalk does with the drawing slash. So tried pillowtalk/ climax bracelet (so it's always realeased form like you did) + Pulley's butterfly and then it was almost too easy. You dodge and the moment he comes close you hit him for 1/2 or 1/3 of his hp bar before he can do much. Anyone looking to cheese this fight (and let's be honest, nonstop infinite climax and no items allowed? F you, Platinum games): this is the way.

Archer Billy Father Rodin has this too, you probably never saw it, though.

@@bongcloudopening5404 I’d argue Demon Rodin is harder. Your item and accessory usage is more limited. Unless you use that shield accessory your gonna struggle.

You need 1 million halos to buy the Platinum ticket. Buy the Platinum ticket and you can unlock this battle
You have to earn 10 million halos to unlock the platinum ticket that only costs 1 million halos.

Sorry I know this is a late response if you are wondering what sword he is using its called pillow talk as for the items I'm not really sure but it could probably be climax bracelet with the time bracelet
In case you are wondering how to get pillow talk you have to beat the game on infinite climax and you will get at the end of the game but if you don't want to do that you could grind for 1 million halos and get it on stage 3
