    Hello Charlotte, Gabi, Pat, etc. This is Lawrence from South Florida. It's mostly due to your youtube channel efforts that I'm finally taking delivery of new vehicle as a first time Kia owner. I had to make some difficult choices in terms of seat configuration, engine type, interior and exterior colors. Well, I'm happy to tell you I chose the 2025 Kia Carnival SX Prestige, Ivory Silver, Off Black Nappa Leather, V6, VIP seats, and upgraded 14.6 inch Rear Seat Entertainment tablets. Special thanks to both you Charlotte and Gabi for your in depth almost daily reviews, including those comprehensive tech reviews that significantly enhanced my product knowledge. I've been following your channel for a while now and will continue to monitor it after becoming a first time Kia owner in the next few days. All my best to you ladies.

    I don't leave in Canada but I'm a Kia costumer here in the UK, I've enjoyed this trunk interview very much, your principles towards your staff and costumers, is exactly what I look for around here, I've purchased my first Kia in 2013, I'm on my fourth one right know, why do I still go back to my area dealership? for the very reasons you gave on this interview, you look after your people and costumers, they will look after you, so much so, that some of your future costumers, have been advised and sent to you by your other loyal costumers, as they say, keep it simple.

    My family and I were leaning into getting a Telluride but unfortunately, our sole dealership here in Regina has a mark-up on it for about $6k CAD. It’s a shame as I had a 2017 Sorento - which I bought from them without any markup - and loved it but was unfortunately totalled.
    The markup situation really made car purchasing more difficult.

    Do you have a dealership in Calgary? 😂 such great content on this channel. Looking to buy a 2025 model and would definitely pay you a visit if I lived in Ontario. Meanwhile I’ll just soak in the information you provide. I’ll tell the dealer in Calgary who I buy from that they owe you a commission! ❤

    When Hyundai/Kia first came to NA they were the cheap but not great quality brand, so that attracted a certain type of dealership owner and salespeople. But now Hyundai/Kia has really upped the quality of their product, but they're still stuck with the old dealer network (Brantford excluded 😅). Thats been an ongoing problem for the brand.

      Unfortunately, every industry has thought who do a good job, and those who reflect poorly on the brand. In Onatrio, we have seem some changes with OMVIC regulations, but there's always going to be outliers. For us, we're going to do everything we can to do business fair and reasonably.

    I bought a new Hyundai from a dealership in the United States that sold cars at MSRP during the end of COVID. As for their competitors who did markups over MSRP, I will never buy from dealerships who did that.

    Perhaps you could talk to the “fine” people over at River City Hyundai in Edmonton. Routine 3k markups on Tucson’s and trying to get 5300 over msrp on a Tuscon PHEV, claiming that’s the standard deal on one of those vehicles dealer wide.

    I have been watching your videos for 1 month but the downside is that your live streams start at 2pm in your time and 4am in my time. The same goes with some of your videos. And the sad thing is that I am not coming into your upcoming live stream cause I have to sleep early and I have school today So when your stream starts, I will not be coming to see your stream. Please note that and hopefully that is okay with you. Anyways I will see you in your next stream. Overall that's a great interview! I really appreciate it.

      For most stores, yes, they make the bulk of profit through fixed operations. However, it'll vary from OEM-to-OEM and store-to-store.

    We know that most dealerships are full of snakes. I think you guys are in canada. I believe Canadian laws doesnt allow the dealers to price a car over MRSP. That is already half the battle.
    Most dealers are snakes as an industry as a whole. While i dont own a business but I have managed one for over a decade. The one thing I dont do is that i lie to customers. If a customer walks in and want to buy a product and no questions asked. Even if I feel the product is not great, I don't say anything because you didnt ask me. Figured you already done your research. I have sold things like 400 dollars less, for I think a product is better. My customer based in for me locally is very well known. I am even known by my competitors in like the 25-mile radius. Now you come in asking me what the cost price of something is. I'm not going to tell you because it's not my business to give that info out.

    • @BrantfordKia
      @BrantfordKia  Před měsícem +3

      In Canada, you have to abide by “all-in advertising.” So long as any “market adjustment fee” is included in that, it is legal to sell over MSRP. However, we don’t see that as fair and reasonable to our customers, which is why we do not conduct ourselves that way. Honesty and transparency is important in any business, and it’s how you build a loyal customer base.
      Like any industry, there are good and bad examples - personally, we try to do everything we can to be a good example - although we are certainly not perfect.
