I met, photographed and interviewed Ahmad Shah Massoud in Takhar Province in 1991. He was an amazing man and an honorable Muslim and mujahed.

@@jamesrobinson2138 In Kabul almost every other car had a picture of Massoud on it. The main traffic circle south of the airport was named Massoud Circle. He had the ability to unite the Afghan people and was known to be military tactician.

I'm a Desert Storm Veteran, so I have never stepped foot in Afghanistan. I was embarrassed and disgusted with how we left Afghanistan. Our government turned our backs on those people, and many people died because of it. I could say so much more, but I'll stop right there. Looking forward to this interview.

I can’t wait. I was there in 03-04 with 10th Mountain. To say Massoud was revered is a gross understatement. The people of Afghanistan loved that man. If he were catholic instead of Muslim, he would be a saint by now.
