Vintage Royal Enfield Bullet Restoration

- Good Evening Folks!
Today my project of restoring a 1980 Royal Enfield has been completed. I have used an Amal 376 Carburetor which is imported from England. When tuned perfectly, it can provide a fuel economy of 28-30 km/l. A smiths 80 MPH chronometric speedometer with a trip reading has also been installed. The Ampere meter is a 1930 Austin’s Ampere, which is my personal favourite! A final highlight, it the Lucas P700 sealbeam headlight which has a customary Lucas emblem and a triangle that gives a very classy appearance to the overall look of the Motorcycle.

I have a 1986 bullet 350. It was my grandfather's. Earlier it had the ignition on toolbox but he changed it to top. It looks way different. It has had a single piece dual seat from the very first time and it look more like standard than classic.

Rear mudguard is a new one, old RE bullets never had that type of mudguards. But yeah overall look n its thump is awesome.

Hello, could you pls tell me the Amal 376 series name. Also 376/35 will fit for G2 bullets ?
I didn't understand your question.! But i have used thr amal 376/215 with a 1 1/16th bore size for the bullet.
I think the 376/35 were smaller amal made for triumph or BSA.

Thankyou so much. Yes i have used a slightly darker shade of maroon. So normal maroon and some black paint mix should help you get this colour.

Sir you will have to buy all the parts. There is a person called Feroz Joye who sells these parts.
You can speak to him. Also, you will have to contact vintage buller spare dealers to get good speedometer ans ampere as well as an amal carburettor.

I disagree with you. The beats of an engine and the tuning though related do not define each other.
The beat is fast because the motorcycle is on a slightly high idle.
But if you hear the strokes, you will notice that though on high idle, the engine is well tuned :)

Franken of time incorrect parts. Regardless of the effort or passion taken, this is not how restorations are supposed to be done.
Not my intention of offending your efforts, I just hope one day you'll realize the real efforts that needs to be taken for a time-correct restoration specific to the motorcycle's age.
