I’ve used the Vs indoors, outdoors, with a wide variety of program and found them immune to compression at stunningly high level considering the footprint of the system. For my first use, I didn’t even know they were passive boxes. The clear separation of vocals from instruments at very high volumes is quite a feat for any system, but from a single amplifier channel, it is just jaw dropping.
I think it would be wise than assemblers indicate the brand and reference of the speakers they install in their boxes. 80% of the brands are assemblers. It would also be very interesting to know if the transducers are from manufacturers' catalogs like JBL or B&C or RCF if these transducers are manufactured under specifications.
When you buy d & b speakers you actually buy a complete system, complete with amplifiers. As a system, it sounds awesome. I really don`t care if they use RCF or JBL drivers because neither RCF or JBL makes anything that sounds as good... ;)
I think they use b&c drivers, at least in the mid and hi sections, just by looking. Their drivers 8 inches and below are easy to spot. The sealed mid with the heat sink is an original b&c design, but it is really cool how d&b thought to use it, with air flow from the woofers to the ports cooling it down even more!

heard them at BPM they sound FANTASTIC and you can stand near it no problem...

If you want to know the prices, here they are..average about $30k for 2 speakers, 2 subs, 1 amp.
