This evening, as I arrived to a destination in my car, the haunting guitar intro came on the car radio. An oldies station was playing this song for the first time in ages and I sat there in the dark, emotionally connected to the sound of my youth. But this old man realized it was much more than a nostalgic high. The true brilliance of the recording was finally understood.
Feeling blessed that I was a teenager in the 80`s.

I grew up listening to my parents playing Icehouse, sound of my childhood and the 80's. Still trying to get the sound right for the guitar solo in the Crazy 'Midnight mix' can I say that is a work of art, I truly love it.

Amidst the pandemic, this song brightens my in 2020.
I remember hearing this song on the radio all the time and how much I liked it when I was around 12 years old. I had completely forgotten its existence until I heard it again a couple of months ago. Now, it's just a sad reminder that I'm not a goofy kid riding my bike, chasing after the ice cream truck and playing in the sprinkler anymore. Love to have those tines back..... sigh. Thanks for being a happy part of my childhood, Icehouse 😊
I was born in mid 80s and I love the music from this era. You can feel the free spirt of the 80s through this bands music. So simplistic and cuts so deep in a good way sending shivers down the spin lol.

Great song from a great band. As an American in 87, I wondered why i hadn't heard of this band before, then I found out they were Australian. Unfortunately for us, they powers that be in the US music industry did not put their promo efforts behind them, but the level of talent and quality of the music is far ahead of many US groups of the time. Crazy is absolutely one of the best songs of that era. Electric Blue is another song with quality exceeding its US chart position.

I was 27 when this came out. Totally loved it then and still do. I still like driving to this song best. I pulled into the parking lot at work recently, im 62 now, was blasting this , as I got out of the car, a young co worker said to me, age inappropriate isn't it?? I said , there's no reason to not still love a song you loved at 27. And by the the way F... Y..!!! He turned red!!! Lol.

It would be hard to replicate that fabulous guitar in a tube sound towards the end of the original track that is sooo 80's...Well it will always be in the memory bank for people lucky (ancient) enough to have lived that time like myself.
As said pretty much everywhere lol, the story of the amazing efforts of Hobart combined with Icehouse in giving me my one wish will be under Hey Little Girl due to said little girl that was with me - my 10 yr old daughter.

I love these guys as much as - if not, possibly more than - I did when this song came out in the USA. tl;dr version: Great song, better band, PLEASE do a US tour!! I have so many great memories associated with this song, mostly because I’ve never really had a period in my life where I didn’t listen to it; I was around 5 or 6 when it was released, and since my mother worked at the main radio station in my town, she was able to, ahem, borrow the LPs that would hold each weeks’ AT40. The one that she brought for was great, the intro was mostly intact, so I put it on a cassette tape so I could listen to this to over and over and over, much like I do with their videos here on CZcams. Thank you Icehouse, your music helped me to make my entire life happier with your music, and to this day, lots of “new memories” are formed while listening to this song. Sadly, many of *my* most recent new memories involve the man who I truly believed that I would marry but, 1½ years after it began, it suddenly was forced to become a long-distance relationship, and we drifted apart. We still speak to each other, but we’ve both sort of decided that we won’t henceforth be able to be a couple until our “next lifetimes,” so I do sometimes [sometimes = frequently here, in particular when I’m watching the ‘international version’ of the video] cry when I play this song, so I have to be careful who else is nearby when I DO play it, because my eye makeup ends up everywhere BUT my eyes! Nevertheless, I wish so much that these guys could do a US tour, although I’m fairly certain that the expense involved would be a massive deterrent, not to mention the whole risk of catching a certain… virus. Please come to New Orleans if you DO tour on my continent!

He got exact 'voice assists' from the original recording at 2:45, 3:26 & 4:51. The little echo gives it away & it's his younger voice there. There is a noticeable difference. Either way, they're still good for their age & put on a good show. Great music
