I am an Illinois resident with Indiana non-resident license also. Am glad they were caught, but I seriously doubt if their punishment will amount to a "fart in a whirlwind"!

@dennisrobinson753 Was not listed. Could of been not weighted right, possibly to many hooks or not properly ID. Or maybe running more lines than allowed. Could have been a combination of things.
dumb.. a 30 lb or less fish considered a trophy when they get up to 130 lbs in these waters.. i wonder how the govt can put regulations on commercial fishing when they also subsidize farmed catfish.. you think that would be a conflict of interest. after all with all this inflation.. the price they pay for fish hasnt budged.. from the guys like me who catch them to markets that sell them. maybe if the govt wasnt conflicting its interest in the job market.. which i feel is the real illegal thing going on. then commercial fisherman could make good money and not have to do anything illegal though i still do everything legal i feel the people who made these laws have no clue of the fish in these areas.. though like i said.. those are not trophy fish.. ask any fisherman whos legit.. they will tell you a trophy is at least half the size of the biggest in the area. not one that is 1/4th the size. and you say they had double the amount of legal trophy. well the trophy you can keep there is 1.. so they only had one fish they werent supposed to.. thats it one fish.. wow they really got those guys didnt they. pathetic. it cost more in tax money to pay them to bust them and its a waste of time and money. also you can have a trotline of 3000 feet there legally. by the way the people who are doing the real illegal shit arent paying for licenses to commercial fish in the first place. commercial fishing is a grind and to mess with these guys over 1 fish is a joke in itself, when they work harder then most people and are probably just barely getting by.
