Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds are an Australian rock band formed in Melbourne in 1983 by vocalist Nick Cave, multi-instrumentalist Mick Harvey and guitarist-vocalist Blixa Bargeld. The band has featured international personnel throughout its career and presently consists of Cave, violinist and multi-instrumentalist Warren Ellis, bassist Martyn P. Casey (all from Australia), guitarist George Vjestica (United Kingdom), keyboardist/percussionist Toby Dammit (United States) and drummers Thomas Wydler (Switzerland) and Jim Sclavunos (United States). With their "brutal blues and gothic nightmares" songs, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds have been considered "one of the most original and celebrated bands of the post-punk and alternative rock eras in the '80s and onward". They have released seventeen studio albums and completed numerous international tours.
The band was founded in 1983 following the demise of Cave and Harvey's former group the Birthday Party, the members of which met at a boarding school in Victoria. By the release of their fifth studio album Tender Prey in 1988, they shifted from post-punk towards an experimental alternative rock sound,[citation needed] later incorporating various influences throughout their career. 2008's Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!! and the side-project Grinderman were influenced by garage rock. Synthesizers and minimal guitar work feature prominently on Push the Sky Away (2013), recorded after Harvey's departure from the band in 2009.
I just love Nick Cave's work ethic and determination. The man will not trip or fall, no matter what, check it out here: 10:33
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds are next level!
It's beautiful to see and hear Conway savage , R.I.P
Any time he’s moving, can’t explain, he gets me over the edge, possibly 😎
My genius,for sure 👍
Always and forever at Nick Cave 😎
It's always great to see them perform Saint Huck
Wonderful song.
This was the best lineup
I agree. It was an all star lineup of heavyweight musicians! Nick Cave is AWESOME!!!!
Agreed, I love Nick with Warren. But Nick with Mick, Blixa and Conway was just something so special...
Forever the best.. Unique artist

over 20 years ago, but still brilliant!

RIP CONWAY SAVAGE
Ha, I could probably just watch the dude on fiddle, looks like he's havin a blast.
he is possessed))
What location was it ❓inside a hotel , you need to sit ❓
Lol, Love letter into saint huck
The dude on the fiddle "quote"is Mr Warren Ellis, brilliant artist ! On the other hand ? Blixa does not seem impressed nor interested ? shame really !
Yeah, he was always a little laid back but he looks particularly detached on this occasion! I think he left a couple of years after this.
I really think this was a period of The Bad Seeds' best performances, just after the release of No More Shall We Part. 'Oh My Lord' is just mind-blowing.
I remember Nick remarking wistfully in the film 'One More Time With Feeling' (2016) : "I don't know what I'd do without Warren." Theirs is a special bond for sure.
