We chat all about Parker's route to Ottawa, that time he fought a current teammate back in junior and way more! Parker played great with Gambrell and Watson last season, so I'm 100% happy if that remains as our 4th line this season. Looks like some stiff competition with Tyler Motte and some of the PTO's that were brought in. I'm hoping that Parker gets his spot because he deserves it.
Parker is a very likable character and seems to have the right attitude and disposition to succeed. I hope he sticks in Ottawa. I also liked his comments on Mark Kastelic. Marc is a very underrated player who can bring size and toughness to the Senator's lineup and his few games with the big club showed a fair bit of skill as well. Kelly, Kastelic and Watson would make an awesome checking line.
We need at least ONE episode with Wally and Meth in the same room chirpin' at each other

Great show. And thanks for letting us get to know Kelly a little better. I am for sure going to be in his corner supporting him. Marc, you'll always be my favorite number 1 hip check on open ice. Next time you guys should rate "who is or was the best fighter for the Senators?" or rank the Sens goalies from then to now and who would you consider Ottawa's best goalie.

Wally is analyzing the situation from the point of view of a media person. Because that’s who/what he is. I agree with Methot, however. If there’s a situation the league has specifically told you not to address, why would you open your presser by bringing it up yourself? You avoid the topic, and when someone inevitably asks you about it, you do what Pierre did. You give the generic, “We can’t comment at this time.”, type of answer. Dorion handled it the exact way you’re supposed to.

I think Brent is wrong, I mean mendez's question was the second one right? He's trying to ham it up so much "this is the biggest topic in the entire fanbase" ya, nobody is talking about anything else that's actually hockey related while camp is opening...
“The number one topic around the Ottawa Senator’s fan base”…I find that hard to believe. Higher than training camp, the new players, potential trades, etc.? That’s not reflected in the comments I’ve seen or the many CZcams channels available. It’s a very serious issue for the Ottawa Senators and especially for the players involved.

Silly criticism of the press conference Wally. Beforehand we all knew he couldn’t comment on it.
I have to disagree that the hockey Canada investigation is the number one topic. I think there is a very vocal subset of people, the rest don't care. Ian and other members of the media are trying to force it into the spotlight.
I'd be curious if the daily emails sent to the show are not from the same people.
The only point I want to raise here is that the accusation made against hockey Canada and the players was settled. The police have subsequently decided to investigate again and this is never mentioned.
Lastly, Brent has made it known several times over he dislikes Dorion and how he does interviews/press conferences. This really felt like trying to nit-pick 1 thing in an otherwise very positive press conference. And I'm not trying to downplay the conversation around hockey culture.
I 100% agree they're just trying to ham this up as much as possible to try and get clicks and seem relevant. Claire Hanna's question "what do you think sponsors are gonna think about this situation?!?!?" is a perfect example
Let's not forget, Wally was asking if Dorion should be fired this last season.
He is a media guy, they work emotion and hyperbole to make mountains out of everything.
And I love Wally, don't get me wrong. I just take this outrage with a grain of salt.
Vocal minorities create culture change. Without them, the majority rests comfortably in the status quo.
Wally is correct about the Forms and Bath situation. The best way to defuse a hot topic is to be up front and make a statement first and answer all the questions before they are asked.
No, at this point he’s hurting the Ottawa Senators and these young men’s reputation virtue signalling about it. There is absolutely no proof of wrongdoing by either players at this point and they’ve already closed the first investigation and settled. Another investigation opened up by hockey Canada, but there is zero proof, yet these young men are dragged through the mud by clowns like Wally for woke points. It’s sickening. I’ll reserve my judgement and comments for when the actual facts come out and if any wrongdoing has even happened. Until then bringing it up is straight up virtue signalling for woke points. If there was any evidence there would have been charges laid already.

My issue with how the Sens are handling the Hockey Canada allegations is that Batherson shouldn't be promoted. If you're not commenting until the investigation has run its course, don't put him on Bell Breakaway. Putting him in that video implies you've already made up your mind he's in the clear even though officially you're saying no comment.
Dont you think he can be in the clear and the org can refrain from comment as they aren't allowed to comment on it yet????
Even though the team can't make an official comment, they likely have a good idea of whether Batherson and Formenton were involved in any way. If Batherson is still being used in Sens promotional materials like Bell Breakaway, it's a safe bet that the team must be extremely confident that he wasn't involved. Sens Management obviously know that there would be a colossal Public Relations crisis if he is revealed to have played a role in the disturbing 2018 allegations, and therefore wouldn't be putting him center-stage if he had been involved.

@@DarthChewie I think the NHL's history has shown us that they don't care at all about players caught up in sexual assault scandals. Jake Virtanen is on a PTO, Evander Kane is on his next contract, Drew Doughty's settlement never gets brought up anymore... To me this feels like an attempt to get a bunch of fans to say, 'He can't be guilty, he was in that video!' so that whatever comes out, he's already been cleared in the court of public opinion.
