This is a long read but important - And the Kapoor sisters need to LISTEN to this carefully. Actresses appear in movies not just to play roles but there is an intention to WOO the audience as well. Sex by women and violence by men are used HEAVILY to make money. These women flaunt their busts and derriere at the drop of a hat, wear close to nothing, and speak and perform erotic acts. Their lives are NOTHING to do with decency or modesty. They act, They pose and expose, So they are meant to be "fantasies" for men, there's no two ways about it. They are Objectified enough that it’s almost hard to think of such women with values or morals because of the nature of their profession.
Sorry if it’s bitter to hear but it’s the absolute truth.
Being an actress is NOT a profession of respect. You may attain a fan base, awards and money. But no one is going to consider you as a decent Indian Woman.
Heroines can't dare expect the public to think of them as anything else.
Their profession IS all about fake glamour and looks. HENCE, after they have a child, their IMAGE changes in the minds of people. It simply becomes 'HARD' for men to continue fantasizing on the same girl, who was once a sex symbol, and now is a mom to a child. It CAN make a HUGE DIFFERENCE to their career. So people WILL NEVER stop talking about their come back post marriage and kids. This is NOT the case with lawyers, doctors, engineers, teachers, and office going employees ok!
It is Not part of our job as engineers, doctors, scientists, lawyers, teachers and Business professionals to be wearing dirty clothes, singing, dancing, at work, attracting attention, or spending hours on our nails and hair and face. If we do all this, we will LOSE OUR JOB. But for filmstars, if they don't do all this, they will LOSE THEIR JOBS.
Our lives are NOT focused on having a personal trainer and nutritionist to watch our every move. We cook, we get our hands and nails dirty, we wash dishes, we clean our own homes and bathrooms. Our work is not to do with looks. We are so busy using our brains that we hardly have time for other petty things. We don’t need a barbie doll figure or a six-pack to succeed in our positions, contrary to film actors.
So Karishma should not dare be comparing the glamour world with US and expect that we treat them the same. They can never be the same as us. So every time an actress has a child, we will NEVER stop calling it a COME BACK. We are the Public and we decide - whether they like it or not. Sorry
