Paul always talked to the scattered Israelites from the various tribes that was scattered via different captivities. Like James 1:1 .
That's James writing not Paul's... You'd be better off quoting Romans 9:24-26 or 1st Corinthians 10:1-2. Or if your strapped for time, any of the introduction of his Epistles where he calls them saints (Psalms 148:14) or beloved of God (Jeremiah 11:15)

The Bible has already been interpreted from the original text into English and many other languages of the world, by men who were qualified and dedicated to doing so with fidelity.
