You should put some of the snappers you get on 4th of July that you give to the kids, that are wrapped in white paper and you can pop in your fingers, put them in the cargo bay and then drop em. They also make adult snappers that are basically firecrackers without a fuse you throw, they are quite loud but those would be fun to drop out of the back of that thing.
My first airplane ride in a Cub around 1962. I tossed my plastic army man tied to one of my dad's handkerchiefs. Dad said it landed in the woods near our house. I doubt he even saw it parachuting down, he just wanted me to go play in the woods! ❤ Dad, RIP.
@@SurBlox Yeah, Gunships are four engine planes, this has two and the nose is different. Still want an AC-130 version, even if it has only two props. Probably a FPV camera on the firing barrel as well to see where it's aiming at.
@@capnhardway yes I also worked on the C-130J, Lockheed originally was working with Alenia, the Italian company that makes the C-27J they shared the same avionics and engines. The C-130J flew 40 knots faster than the 4 Prop C-130H and did not require external fuel tanks. It could also fly 3 hours longer on less fuel. The C-27J was not designed for super long-distance flights and could only fly for I believe 6 hours. I know the pilots really enjoyed flying the C-27J because of its smaller size and ability to turn tightly in the mountains. Long story longer, the C-27J originally belonged to the Army, to replace the Sherpas's C-23B. I'm not sure why the Air Force got his panties in a bind about the Army having C-27Js, but evidently there was the Key West Agreement of 1948(it sounds crazy but it's true and you can look it up on Wikipedia) I don't remember the exact terms but it was like the army can't have any with a wingspan more than like 50 feet. Turns out the C-27J was like 50 ft and 6 inches and that is how they took them from the Army. I know this all sounds crazy and I couldn't believe it at first but it's true

@@BrendanCurley C-27J Spartan. You can tell by all the windows in the Cockpit. But they do look similar except for the cockpit, number of blades on the prop and a C-160 has 10 wheels instead of 6 on the Spartan. C-27 has two sets of single wheels in the back.
With the cargo bay you can put some of those little snaps that you get from 4th of July for the kids and drop them out like bombs. Or you can get some adult snappers too. You can go on bombing missions with snappers.
I went to a giant R/C show some years ago in Iowa. Their airshow opened with a parachute team dropped from an R/C plane. The best part was that the parachutists were R/C as well, so they were able to be steered and do some stunts on the way down.
I work on the C27J with the Maryland Air Guard till the end of the program. I see you have the Ohio National Guard Livery on yours 😁 . I'm glad to see it flying. You probably should have taken the rubber band off the parachute guys 😁😁

My grandpa says he stopped drinking milk because of a time he jumped from a plane back in the mid 60’s. They had a big breakfast and were sent to jump for practice. A guy on the plane got sick and threw up everywhere. The smell was horrible and they were dying to jump off whenever. Well when my grandpa was about to jump he puked on himself because the thought of the other mess made him sick. In the end he had to clean his parachute spotless and his clothes 😂
